A stone's throw from the Orvieto cathedral, everything is very good, especially the cheese and the fresh homemade pasta. The prices are touristy, Mr. Pippo is truly a special character. We had an appetizer, some good house white wine, a plate of umbricchielli cacio pepe, a plate of umbricchielli alla matriciana, and tagliatelle with ragù.

I had lunch with some friends at this osteria. It's a traditional place, and the character of Pippo is a prominent feature and an integral part of the place itself. The charcuterie and cheese platter they offer (prepared directly by the chef) reflects the region and its specialties. The pappardelle with wild boar were also appreciated; the sauce is simple but flavorful and tasty.

We weren't familiar with the place. Chef Pippo gave us directions to places to visit in Orvieto, and then we returned for lunch. Excellent food, top-quality ingredients and wine. Reasonable prices for the generous portions. He's a wonderful and friendly guy, and we share a passion for rump steak (not turkey). He completely changed our trip out of town. A wonderful memory to remember forever!

What a sensation, what a flavor, what a taste, in addition to the warm welcome from Chef Pippo, what a cheerful, attentive, and caring person, always ready to please. Martina also runs around serving with great dedication!!! I recommend it, the food is excellent!!! The Umbrichelli al Fumé is to die for!!!!
