Antares In Cefalù

The fish was excellent, but the grilled vegetables that accompanied it were so oily that the skin of the fish that lay on the plate was no longer crispy and was completely soaked in oil.

I can only recommend it with reservations. The service was okay, but very hectic. Even by German standards 😀 The food was okay, but unfortunately only average. The Parmesan cheese comes from packets. The contents were unfortunately spoiled. It's not your fault, since you can't see inside, but the reaction might be different after you've scraped the mold off your pasta. At least they gave you new packets. At least asking for new pasta would have been appropriate.

The evening started well. The waiter explained that since they had a separate kitchen, they could prepare anything gluten-free. The waiter, a bit hasty, was about to take the menus from our hands. When the appetizer arrived, I asked to be sure if it was gluten-free, and the waiter assured me several times that it was. After a couple of minutes, he came back and told me he'd mixed it up; fortunately, I hadn't started eating yet. Not only that, but the waiter also told us that, except for the bread, the rest of the fried appetizer was frozen and everything was gluten-free. I personally would have avoided pointing out that the products were frozen. The steak I ordered arrived overcooked. The pizza was good. The food wasn't disappointing, but the service definitely needs improvement.

The best restaurant in Cefalù. Excellent pizzas, with gluten-free and vegetarian options. I especially recommend the Antares pizza with salmon. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lunch with a stunning sea view.

During a recent visit to Cefalù, I had the pleasure of dining at Antares, and I must say it was a truly positive experience from every perspective. The staff was friendly and courteous from the start, always helpful and attentive without ever being intrusive, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The pizza was one of the best I've tasted in the area: well-leavened dough, fresh ingredients, and truly thoughtful flavor combinations. The seafood dishes are equally impressive: I tried a lobster pasta dish, which was a real surprise—flavorful, well-cooked, and carefully presented. The value for money is more than fair, especially considering the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail. The restaurant is also located in a beautiful area of Cefalù, perfect for a post-dinner stroll through the streets of the center or towards the seafront. In short, Antares is an excellent choice for those looking for good food, a pleasant atmosphere, and impeccable service. Definitely recommended!

Decent pizzas, but nothing more. Fried calamari cooked in overused oil, the color of which I've never seen before. I wouldn't go back.
