The Michelin star brought with it high expectations, which were only half-fulfilled. Although the first and second courses were excellent, the appetizer and dessert fell short. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the service friendly, but overall the price seems high and not entirely justified.

It was great, and everything was good, delicious, and provided plenty of food and wine; the price was very reasonable. But is it really worth driving there to eat these dishes? I would say no. There are many more restaurants like this, even in the center of Bologna. Also, the service is quite slow, and the staff is okay… maybe we expect too much because of the Michelin-starred restaurant, or maybe this is just regular trattoria service. In the end, there isn't much to complain about, but I would not come back.

We had dinner at Amerigo for a birthday.
The dishes were revisited from Emilian cuisine,
well-made and delicious. We'll be back to
try more.

I went to dinner last night with my partner. It's our second time there because, given the price, we save it for special occasions. The atmosphere is quaint, the menu is extensive and unpretentious, the dishes are excellent, and the service is absolutely adequate. However, the red wine shouldn't be served ice-cold like they did. They wouldn't be human if they didn't have a flaw. Well done.

I'd never been there before and had very high expectations, but I have to say they were fully met, if not exceeded.
The guanciale is a must-try, in my opinion, but the Amerigo egg with truffle is also a must-try.
Top marks, I'll definitely be back!

What can I say? A Michelin-starred restaurant that has retained its trattoria soul (and highly appreciated prices).
The frescoed room is marvelous, Amerigo is absolutely stunning, and the wine pairing suggestions were much appreciated.
We'll definitely be back.

We had dinner at Amerigo.
The trattoria is very traditional, with many historic gems, antiques, and interesting frescoes on the walls.
Expectations, perhaps also due to the star, were very high, and were partly disappointed.
The service (at least at our table) was inattentive, as when we were given the menu, the off-menu dishes were not listed, and we were not given any further explanations that were provided at other tables (we discovered that the next table's order included off-menu dishes).
The bottle of wine we ordered arrived already opened, and even for a trattoria, this isn't fair to the customer.
The table didn't have a regular waiter, so after the courses were finished, we waited 30 minutes for someone to come to our table to ask if we wanted dessert or anything else, after which we called a waiter ourselves.
The menu is traditional. I personally had the tortellini, which were good but overcooked. The broth wasn't very hot but was flavorful. The filling was good, though different from what I'm used to; I thought it was a bit raw, but that's okay, because everyone uses their own amount of tortellini filling.
The risotto with celeriac and toasted hazelnuts was very good.
I tried the famous Amerigo egg, which I certainly didn't fully understand or appreciate due to my lack of understanding. There's definitely a lot of work involved; the tigelle that accompany it don't live up to the care that goes into the egg.
For dessert, we were served a Lambrusco sorbet, but it wasn't to my liking.
The final bill is high for a trattoria, but the prices are commensurate with the work and the raw materials behind some of the dishes.
The wine list is good, although I think Lambrusco was deliberately ignored entirely.
We weren't provided with the second wine list (not local), which we discovered was also available at the next table.
Perhaps we had an unlucky evening in terms of service, which for me is almost more important than the food itself.
We'll definitely be back to try other dishes, hoping for better service.

We came here specifically to try this restaurant's dishes. Unfortunately, our expectations were very high.
Appetizers: The photo shows the knife-cut tartare, which was excellent. I didn't take a photo because we didn't appreciate the liver pâté. We didn't love the pairing with the pignoletto cheese. The livers weren't bad, but nothing spectacular. Probably a bad choice on our part.
First courses: The pumpkin caramels were the best dish of the evening...surprisingly! Excellent ragù, and the consistency of the caramels was also excellent. The parmesan-filled tortellini were delicious.
Second courses: The egg with amerigo sauce was the dish that made me order. We'd been warned before ordering that mushrooms weren't available. The dish was good, but I didn't love the textures: everything was too soft. It lacked character.
Veal cheek: delicious. Cooked well, perfect flavor. The menu was supposed to include a "small fried" onion dish... (One never complains about the quantity, mind you!) But it was disproportionate to the dish.
Dessert: Not very sweet, but the crispy wafers were delicious.
Super positive notes: truly excellent truffle and excellent service. Kudos to the super attentive, precise, and kind staff. Well done!
