Came on recommendation. But not Roman food at all. And not really Italian tastes. The wine was good - red Cabernet Franc. And the bread.

Restaurant specializing in meat from all over the world! The first courses are also excellent. Gnocchi with pork ribs sauce are exceptional. I tried the artichokes alla Giudia (fried) and the stuffed courgette flower, really good. A bottle of Spanish red wine but grown in Lazio, super. To finish, a Saker with zabaglione with a sweet white wine, excellent. I've been there before, I'll go back, it's really worth it.

Characteristic environment for its previous glorious history built in the post-war years, after various multi-year events due to disastrous management, returns to altitude with a successful change "Roman" version, precisely. Very formal environment, shame about the somewhat cheesy entrance, slightly neglected welcome, good selection of wines by the glass and a well-made welcome appetizer.
Good service but only when it is sought otherwise the diner is not assisted.
Carbonara on request with half sleeves, the flavor is good even if the sauce feels like it's from a (jar), thick and heavy, it didn't take much for the chef to make it himself.
Pancetta is used (not declared on the menu) and not bacon anyway
well browned.
Special sweet options but not illustrated, being a Roman restaurant I expected at least one historical option such as the classic tiramisu and not the cake filled with tiramisu...

Tiramisu only with sponge cake... not the classic version but definitely good.
Overall I expected more from those who brought Rome to Mestre... too bad!!

Mai avrei pensato che uno dei più famosi (nei tempi andati) ristoranti di pesce potesse a Venezia diventare un ristorante di cucina romana. Veramente buono; i rigatoni e la coda erano quasi buoni come quelli di mia madre ed anche gli altri commensali non hanno fatto altro che lodare la cucine, Gran varietà di piatti in menù. Il vino ma non so cosa fosse e chi lo avesse ordinato così così. Non mi è piaciuto nel menù l’ inserimento di molte carni che a mio avviso vanno mangiate in loco come canguro, zebra e coccodrillo. Decisamente peggio il fatto che ci hanno portato tutto troppo in fretta e le portate si sono accavallate. Se ricapito ci rivado sicuro ma mangio solo la cucina romana. Dei dolci non so dire che solitamente al ristorante non ne prendo. Prezzo nella media.

Che dire, il ristorante che a Mestre mancava il titolare, un bel volpone che ci sa fare bravo
Qui si può trovare la vera cucina napoletana con una qualità veramente molto alta ed i prezzi veramente veramente giusti e onesti. Consigliatissimo.
