An authentic corner of Piedmont to rediscover Last night my partner and I had dinner at the Il 14 restaurant in Carmagnola, in the heart of the historic center, a stone's throw from charming squares and porticos that tell the story of a town as beautiful as it is underrated, on the edge of the Langhe. Even though it was a quiet Tuesday night, we were struck by the quiet of the center: a place that definitely deserves more life and attention. The restaurant has slightly dated furnishings, but consistent with the context of the village, which helps create a familiar and authentic atmosphere. What made the real difference, however, was the welcome: the ladies in the dining room were very kind, attentive and always smiling. We started with an excellent appetizer to share, consisting of veal with tuna sauce and Carmagnola sausage, two local classics prepared with taste and simplicity. To follow, I enjoyed a tagliata with baked potatoes — tender meat cooked as I wanted, generous portion — so much so that I asked for another plate of those delicious potatoes! My partner chose a more creative second course: Potato & provola gratin with chickpea hummus, well-balanced in flavors. To end on a sweet note, we treated ourselves to two slices of artisanal cake, truly worthy. We accompanied it all with a half bottle of Nebbiolo, a bottle of water, a coffee and a limoncello. In the end, with only 70 euros, we had a perfect evening: abundant dishes, quality, courtesy and an atmosphere that makes you feel at home. Highly recommended for those who love traditional Piedmontese cuisine, with an excellent quality-price ratio. A place where we will definitely return.

Tried by chance but were struck!!! Welcomed with grace and sympathy, with a smile that was finally not fake and truly with the pleasure of pampering customers. The menu is refined but simple at the same time, with tasty proposals that enhance the quality of the ingredients. Each dish is a discovery, an experience and total satisfaction. A group of women who know what they are doing and do it divinely. It's a shame to be far away but we will definitely come back and come back and come back.... The chatter is also very pleasant!!! I had lunch with my girlfriend and her parents and what can I say, perfect service, very nice environment and innovative and very good dishes! Particularly appreciated was the advice on wine and, of course, the wine itself. I will definitely be back!

A charming restaurant. Not striking from the outside, but where the food is very good. The wine list is also excellent and the lady who served was also well informed about the wines, spoke excellent English and was even able to respond promptly. The atmosphere was immediately set. It just felt good and honest and nice.
