Excellent food. The menu isn't extensive, but in my opinion it caters to all tastes. The service was prompt. The atmosphere was clean, and the background jazz music was pleasant. The only thing I found below expectations was the wine selection, which I didn't feel offered adequate value for money.

On a Sunday lunch on the fly, without a reservation, we found a spot for a quick but delicious meal. We returned to this delightful crime scene again. The price wasn't exactly affordable, but the service and quality of the food were definitely worth it. Perhaps a little too noisy for my taste. I highly recommend this restaurant.

A few days ago, I got a bonus on a website (it’s shown in the photo attached to this review), so I decided to treat myself to dinner. I ordered pasta, and it turned out really tasty and filling. Nothing extravagant, but the evening felt especially nice thanks to that bonus.

Really enjoyed this place! The menu is quite diverse, but I chose the pasta – and I wasn’t disappointed. The dish turned out to be really tasty, well-prepared, with a rich and flavorful sauce. Overall, I was happy with my choice. I also want to mention that I counted the calories using the service shown in the photo. It was very convenient and fast – in just a couple of seconds I got all the details about calories and macros. Now I recommend everyone to try using such a service for calorie tracking – it makes following your diet much easier.

Refined and delicious cuisine! Warm welcome despite the fact that we didn't book...we ate very well! I give it 5 even though we were short of time and the Tiramisu isn't the best we've eaten, but the fish and meat taste and cook exquisitely!! The prices are certainly worth the quality of the products chosen; Bravo! We recommend it for those with a sweet tooth!

Altrogiro turned out to be a really pleasant surprise during our visit. We came here to celebrate my dad’s birthday, and the whole evening felt warm and welcoming from start to finish. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere that makes you want to settle in and enjoy a proper meal, and the staff really added to the experience. Every waiter we interacted with spoke very good English, which made everything easy and comfortable when ordering and asking questions about the menu. Their service was attentive without being overbearing, always checking in at the right times. For my main course, I went with the Bolognese, and it was excellent. What stood out was the generous portion of sauce – rich, flavourful, and exactly what you’d hope for in a classic Italian dish. The pasta was cooked just right, soaking up all that hearty Bolognese without feeling too heavy. It’s one of those plates that feels both comforting and satisfying, and I’d happily order it again. To top off the night, we ordered an apple strudel for dessert. It was crisp on the outside, soft inside, and carried just the right amount of sweetness. The best part was the thoughtful touch from the staff: they surprised us by bringing it out with a small candle on top for my dad’s birthday. It was simple but meaningful, and he really appreciated the gesture. Little moments like that make a meal memorable. Overall, Altrogiro delivered great food, thoughtful service, and a genuinely enjoyable dining experience. Between the flavourful Bolognese, the delicious dessert, and the kind attention from the staff, I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a solid meal and a welcoming atmosphere. It made for a special evening we’ll remember.

Very nice restaurant with a very helpful waiter who translated the Italian menu for us. The English menu doesn't have the full range of options.

This restaurant was very close to the hotel my partner and I were staying at, and we went here on our first night since it was late and we were starving and it was nearby. It was a great first impression of Italian restaurants for us, incredibly friendly and accomading service with menus in different languages and friendly staff. We returned to this restaurant on our last night before our plane back, and it was still great. I had the amatriciana (which was absolutely incredible, the best I've had) and the cacio e Pepe and both were full of flavour and solid portions sizes while being reasonably priced- both the previous dishes were €14, which seems in line with most restaurants around Rome if you want a good quality portion of pasta. Good wine as well, €7-8 for a generous and tasty glass. My partner had the Bolognese which was very rich and flavourful but not too fatty. Also benefited from a relaxed, quiet atmosphere, nicely decorated and intimate feeling, made for good conversation. Would definitely recommend if you are staying in the area, just be prepared for the bread/service charge so it doesn't surprise you on the bill- the bread is very good and a nice addition to the delicious sauces so I thought it was worth it.
