Chef Arno still surprises with his simply creative dishes in the living room atmosphere of this special place on the town's main square. Best gnocchi with green asparagus and mushrooms, spinach dumplings with blue mold and radicchio, ham refined in Gewürztraminer... In addition, two precious bottles of Gewürztraminer from the experienced hand of sommelier Doris in the parallel tasting, which are also on sale at wine shop prices because this restaurant also offers wines in retail sales. Worth a detour, go there! Unfortunately it's almost always fully booked, but in an emergency you can sit at the counter with two people.

A most enjoyable evening from start to finish! Nettle dumplings, lamb chops and saddle of veal - completed with an excellent cheese variation and a crème brûlée. Here are no wishes left! 👌🏼🫶🏽

Restaurant overlooking the town hall square. Possibility of parking nearby. The place is small but if the weather is nice it is also pleasant to eat outdoors. Tasty dishes with good raw materials. Service always ready. Good value for money. The wines are excellent and can also be purchased. If you are in Termeno, you should try it. Better to book.

A small and lovely spot that accommodated my #Carnivorediet eating restrictions. Seared venison with just salt. high quality meat cooked and seasoned to perfection.

Sehr gute, gehobene Küche, ohne abgehoben zu sein. Service sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und kompetent. Das Essen war hervorragend. Gerade die Vorspeisen sind sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir waren zu dritt am 20.10.2023 spontan im Restaurant Alte Post zum Abendessen, nachdem der Buschenschank Familie Gamper aufgrund von Fernsehaufnahmen geschlossen war. Es war ein sensationelles Abendessen mit einem Oktopus-Carpaccio als Vorspeise, Tagliatelle mit Herrennagelen (Pilzsorte) und danach einen leckeren Joghurtschaum mit Waldfrüchten, Krokant, Minze und mehreren Kugeln Himbeereis. Dazu gab es einen seltenen Gewürztraminer von der Cantina Tramin nämlich einen Nussbaumer von 2021 (überall ausverkauft), welcher perfekt dazu passte. Ich hatte dann noch einen Plonhofener Williams. Zur Rechnung wurde dann ein selbst gemachter Limoncello gereicht. Selten so ein exquisites Abendessen gehabt ! Haben uns kulinarisch wie im 7. Himmel gefühlt !

04/04/2024: Remember that this is the hotel refuge of the family of the great Italian tennis player SINNER, his father, a chef, and his mother, a waitress, work here. Since Jannik has excelled at the top of the world rankings, this place has become almost a national monument and many go even just to take a photo, it will be very difficult to find a place unless you book well in advance. Now the father is no longer the restaurant chef because Jannik has chosen him as his personal chef, so now he travels with him to various tournaments around the world. On the photo on the site, of all the workers in the Fondovalle refuge, you will also find the photo of father HansPeter and mother Siglinde. Jannik seems to have grown up as a child, here, in Sesto, in this very hotel, while his parents worked.
