Santo Stefano's historic bakery. The pizza, schiacciata, and savory dishes are delicious. But the best here is the legendary ricotta and chocolate cake. It also features a soft ricotta and sour cherry crumble, varying in texture and shape, delicious and delicious.

It's lost its charm... compared to how I remembered it, both the white pizzas and the famous ricotta cake have deteriorated. Then we ordered takeout, ordered four pizzas, and found three of them. The ricotta cake was wrapped in pieces of paper that were all stuck together, making it inedible. What a shame...

This is a bakery on a side street of Porto Santo Stefano, very near the harbour. Along with some great breads, they churn out a wide selection of "schiacciata" which is a very thin type of pizza. The dough is not puffed up. Lots of different toppings are produced throughout the morning and lunch time. A rectangular slice of deliciousness costs only €1.80! They also have great bundt cakes, and will prepare a fresh sandwich for you at the counter in the back. Well worth a visit for fresh great food.

For me and others, it's "Alocci cake," as if it were a trademarked product. The one with ricotta and chocolate. Only that.

I forgot to say that unlike other bakeries, bars, and grocery stores, their prices are more than fair. Small water costs €0.50 compared to others that sell it for €1 or €1.20. Focaccia and Tuscan ham made to order for €3. Chocolate and orange tozzetti are SUPER.

Beautiful pastry shop and bakery, friendly staff. We ordered sandwiches, focaccia, and the famous Alchermes biscuits here before boarding the boat for Giglio Island. Fair prices. Highly recommended!

No weak points: SENSATIONAL DESSERTS: They have something for everyone; I love the tall (sliced) and short (round in various sizes) ricotta tarts; the rice puddings (a typical local dessert), and the ring-shaped donuts with alchermes liqueur. BREAD: Both unsalted and savory, both durum wheat and white flour; the pizza is good and unique because in Maremma it's slightly less salty.

11/02/2026: Oh well!! Possibly the best pizza I've ever eaten. Really. BUT... the first time I went there with a friend and my partner, everything was perfect, it was a weekday, I don't remember which day exactly, there were not many people, then it started to fill up. The problem was when my partner and I returned alone. It was a Saturday, and it took about 40 minutes to get there from where we were... we booked on the way there for 9:00 PM. We arrived, they greeted us and escorted us to the table, which was practically in the middle (the room they set us in is very small; I think they have another one). The problem was that there was a birthday party, and we found ourselves literally stuck to this table. It was terrible chaos. We couldn't hear each other, the whole room was full, and it took forever to get up and move for fear of accidentally touching someone. The icing on the cake was when a man had a little girl in his arms, and the little girl's legs were practically in my partner's face, on top of other bumps from adults and children. I think it's fine to want to work, but not if you end up losing customers. I would have preferred them to tell me they had no more port instead of driving almost two hours to get there. Obviously, we got up and left without even ordering. I think that's disrespectful.

09/10/2025: That was a fantastic experience. On the recommendation of our accommodation, we came here twice for dinner. And immediately upon entering the grounds, and then the restaurant, you sense that someone has put their heart and soul into creating something unique. It was our first visit to Tuscany, but it was exactly what we imagined, or rather, our expectations were exceeded. It was nice, of course, that the owner of the house, as a German, was able to explain all the dishes to us, which doesn't necessarily make the choice any easier, because you simply work up an appetite for everything. The service was very good. Even though you can tell that you're not working with trained professionals here, you always get the feeling that it's very family-like... what more could you want? The food was absolutely TOP-NOTCH! The wine selection was also excellent, and at a price that was perfectly reasonable. Thank you again, and... if we're ever in the area again... we'll definitely be back.
