After strolling through the winding alleys of Bagnoregio, we let ourselves be guided to Alma Civita, and there a little magic began. Seated inside a charming ancient cave, we breathed in an intimate, almost timeless atmosphere. Every dish brought to the table was an embrace of authentic flavors: the cured meats, the potatoes, the meat, the wine... everything spoke of tradition and love for the land. Then Alessandra arrived, with her smile and her stories: in just a few moments, she gave us the true soul of Bagnoregio, intertwining childhood memories and the history of a place carefully guarded by her parents. Her words made lunch an experience that went beyond simply eating: it was like experiencing a fragment of life in the suspended city. Extra virgin olive oil worthy of the name, spectacular black truffles. Alma Civita is undoubtedly among the top 10 places where I've enjoyed wonderful food. Everything done here becomes a true art, a journey through sight, smell, and taste, but above all through the feelings and emotions that can arise in those who savor the flavors of the past, the simple and genuine ones. At Alma Civita, the cuisine of Chef Gabriele, together with Patron Chef Maurizio Rocchi, is pure talent, the rediscovery of a revisited, all-Italian tradition. Emotions of the soul are enhanced by the smiles and infinite kindness of the entire staff, especially the excellent Sergio. The service is characterized by a very high level of professionalism, extremely rare to encounter precisely because it is informal yet punctual and precise, always. The products and preparations are characterized by a bouquet and persistence on the palate of the highest quality and delicacy. A continuous flow of flavors and emotions that begin with the consistency of the ingredients used and then culminate in the perfection of evolution from the first bite. Two elements predominate: preparation technique and top-quality raw materials. Technique is a broad and expert demonstration of knowledge of Umbrian local products. This quality standard allows the customer to fully enjoy the flavors. Secondary ingredients never overwhelm the main ingredient but always accompany it, allowing the palate to distinguish one flavor from another. The ingredients are crucial in enhancing the flavors, which, in the mouth, appear clean and full-bodied, yet delicate and persistent. Richness, savory, sweet, crunchy. This is the common thread running through every dish placed on the table. With each dish, a fantastical journey begins through a wonderful world, just like a fantasy film. The tasting menu is absurdly good. The red wine is excellent and perfect for the chosen dishes. Dry, fresh, and just the right amount of fruity, it blends harmoniously with the incredible flavors of the dishes, enhancing their flavors both on entry and at the end of the mouth. A more than perfect and excellent trait d'union that creates a perfect fusion between the aromas of the dishes and the palate. The place is simple and unfussy, but wonderful for that very reason. The quality of the products is probably among the best I've experienced, because they are selected with obsessive attention. Everything is IMPECCABLE because it is SIMPLE. I wish I could transport this place anywhere, along with those who are part of it, to make every moment unique and wonderful. Without a doubt, the best one could wish for, and it will always go far beyond the best possible expectations. That's why I'm grateful for what will be and what has already been. We had a delicious lunch at this restaurant, the Castle in the Sky. When we first saw this city, we were shocked by its beauty and magnificence. It was lunchtime when we arrived and we saw this well-reviewed restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered two salads, one Italian ham, a steak and special pasta for children. We are very grateful to the store for preparing meals for the children. We thought every dish was delicious and the price was much cheaper than in Rome. We had a great lunch here.

This place is an absolute 10! It is very much worth the walk and all the steps! The food was amazing, the atmosphere is amazing! Each dish was better than the next! You will not be disappointed!

Posta veramente suggestivo, pranzare in una grotta ha il suo fascino, persona le gentilissimo e servizio veramente rapido per non parlare dei piatti veramente tutti buoni e particolari non i soliti piatti, ma si vede veramente che cè ricerca di valorizzare sia la materia prima si a di sperimentare nuovi sapori e gusti per non parlare della ricerca dell'estetica del piatto che non gusta mai
