All'Opera is one of those restaurants where fish takes center stage, without too many frills but with substance. The appetizer left me with a little more expectation; I would have hoped for something more refined, but overall it holds up well. The grilled fish, on the other hand, is truly the highlight: excellent quality ingredients, respectful cooking, clean and authentic flavors. The wine list is interesting, with some high-quality labels and a few pleasant surprises. A slight disappointment: the wine arrived a bit too warm. In short, a good place to enjoy a nice grilled fish dish in a relaxed atmosphere, without great expectations of atmosphere or sophistication, but with the certainty of eating well.

We ate fish, mediocre quality, limited quantity. Apparently the price of the dishes reported on the menu is not expensive, the bill is expensive when you consider everything, then divide it per person. At the cash register I always quickly check the receipt, I have not found any inaccurate entries, but when I got home I realized that, instead of counting the half liter of house wine actually taken, we were charged a whole liter ... too late to complain ... you don't act like a beggar, but about € 5, cunningly added (a consolidated technique also in other restaurants in the city) and the rest, which in any case had not left you satisfied, are those elements that dispel any second thoughts and leave you with only one certainty, that of not wanting to return! Instead, I recommend this place for the excellent service in the dining room: attentive, punctual, and very friendly ... a little diminished by the kitchen, rather slow. Yet if you look for fish restaurants in Udine on Tripadvisor, this one comes out among the first ... meh!

The mixed seafood appetizer is highly recommended. As first courses, both the pasta allo scoglio and the pasta alle vongole were abundant in both portion and taste.

The staff was very attentive and thoughtful, we were satisfied in everything, the pizzas and pasta were well prepared and the environment was well-kept with outdoor spaces too.
