Obvious tourist restaurant however menu had a great value “bang for your buck” item. Bolognese, fries, and chicken for 15 euro which was a good “american” amount of food. Everything was just okay but you can’t beat the price.

Having stumbled upon this restaurant, with its ancient Roman decor near the Ostia archaeological site, we received a warm welcome. The food was good quality, the service a little slow but very friendly.

A wonderful place. Wonderful and friendly staff. I loved absolutely everything: the taste of the local dishes, the interior with interesting artifacts, the welcoming atmosphere, and the restaurant owners' desire to make an ordinary lunch memorable.

It's a restaurant at the entrance of Ostia Antica, a gateway to Rome that's like a small Pompeii, about 30 minutes by train from Rome. We went in without a plan because we were hungry, but the food was so delicious. We ordered mushroom pizza and assorted fried fish. The pizza was thinly sliced and oven-baked, and the mushroom flavor was savory without being greasy. The assorted fried fish, squid, shrimp, and other various items were fried until crispy and delicious. I wanted to try other foods, but I was too full to eat them, which is a shame.

Incredible place, the setting is Roman, the sculptures, the costumes.
