In this regard, don't be fooled by the cute name "L'Umarell", which might make you think of a simple Bolognese trattoria. Instead, we find ourselves faced with a pleasant and elegant restaurant, but without being excessively rigid and geared towards refinement. The environment is welcoming and refined, which makes L'Umarell the right destination for a special evening or a convivial meal. The menu follows the Bolognese tradition, with typical local cuisine prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients but you can also find a selection of both fish and meat-based dishes, which are equally delicious and with attention to the smallest details. The wine list is a real strong point of the restaurant, with a vast selection of local and international labels, which perfectly match the dishes on the menu. The staff is always available to recommend the best pairing of food and wine, making the gastronomic experience even more pleasant and complete.

I don't know whether to say as good as it is pleasant or vice versa, but either way, try it! We enjoyed the main mixed starter of the area which was followed by the queen: tagliatella with meat sauce, also recommended by the Apostles of Tagliatella, what more can we say? Excellent wine, super friendly and polite service, very pleasant environment. Well done!

Restaurant located in the countryside of San Lazzaro di Savena, I went there during a trip with three colleagues to have dinner. The venue is medium-large in size and has two rooms, one on the ground floor and one on the second floor. It specializes in Bolognese dishes, served in an elegant setting, but with overall reasonable prices taking into account the high quality. My colleagues and I shared a couple of traditional appetizers (fried gnocco and cured meats) followed by sweet Bolognese cutlets with ammazzacaffè coffee all for around €50. Impeccable courtesy of the staff, absolutely reasonable service times. I will happily return
