All'Antica Torretta In Roma

I've dined at this restaurant at least a dozen times in the last three years. It's near a hotel where I periodically stay for work, usually with a colleague, and we've always had pizza. We've always found a table without a reservation, and we've always had a great experience. The service was quick, the pizza light, super digestible, and incredibly affordable. Tonight, I came alone for the first time and found the place packed (I think it was for a quiz night), but everyone was incredibly kind and, instead of turning me away, they quickly saved a table for me, inviting me to wait. Everyone was super nice and friendly, both during the wait and afterward. I have to say, I really appreciated it. After a five-hour train ride, even a small gesture of kindness—feeling welcomed and saving me the trouble of finding another option—was truly appreciated. I also tried the food for the first time: the service was super fast despite the crowds, and the artichoke was the best I've ever had—finally, more lemon than oil, top notch! Cacio e pepe was al dente, perfect. The only flaw was that it was too generous; what a shame to leave it there! Thanks again for your kindness

The first courses were excellent, the rigatoni carbonara was exceptional.

Superb lunch! We were a group of people, and it's well known that when you're in a group, there's a lot of noise from orders and people talking. However, thanks to Ivan's professionalism and expertise, we were able to enjoy a lunch filled with laughter and good food. I especially recommend the scaloppine; I haven't had one this good since my grandmother used to cook it for me. Excellent traditional cuisine! Keep up the good work, you're a fantastic team.

I've been to this super welcoming place once. (I'm Italian, but not from Rome.) I had an amazing carbonara, with super-crispy bacon and melt-in-your-mouth cream. The suppli were equally delicious, transporting you to the heart of Rome. I absolutely recommend it, especially for the fantastic service I received from Ivan, the wonderful Stefano, and the ever-smiling Vittoria.

We organized a dinner for over 20 people, and Ivan was always extremely kind and helpful, accommodating our requests. We all had a wonderful meal: excellent food and truly friendly staff. A very positive experience!
