Fabulous chicken, traditional local cuisine with old-fashioned flavors, in a historic family-run restaurant. The owners (all women) are truly hospitable and kind. Every time we pass by these parts "Alla Vedova" is our regular stop.

non ero mai stato a cenare in questo locale, storico ed unico nel suo genere. Piatti tipici ed anche alcune specialità alla griglia tra cui lo stupendo pollo.

It is the right place for a varied and complete menu of traditional local cuisine, adapted according to the season of the moment. Its strong point remains, as always, the grill and special recognition goes to Mrs. Gabriella "Queen of the grill". Definitely good quality/price ratio. Recommended, even for parties and ceremonies, given that it has rooms and lounges that allow independent celebrations away from other customers.

Lovely place, intimate and relaxed atmosphere. The courses were good, 6 of us decided to try different dishes and they all convinced us. The service was a little slow with the impossibility of tasting the risottos which would have required a further wait. Overall still satisfied.

Local cuisine and specialties, with open meat grill. Historic place, really beautiful and full of fascinating objects. Very friendly and helpful staff and fast and attentive service. The food is excellent, the only "problem" is being able to choose among the many options.

Ottimo pranzo tipico con prodotti locali. Il locale è bello, ricco di "storia" anche se avrebbe bisogno di una rinfrescata e di un servizio migliore e meno affrettato. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è comunque buono e l'ampio parcheggio esterno lo rendono una scelta azzeccata poco fuori il centro di Udine

30/01/2025: Home cooking, you won't find long menus but the dishes are well prepared and spot on. Whenever possible I would like to return
07/01/2025: Very welcoming traditional place with a large fireplace where you can sit inside. The food was excellent, the venison stew was among the best I've ever tasted. The turnip crescents are original and excellent. Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. The service was a little slow but the place was full. Booking is recommended to secure a seat.

02/03/2025: It is the second time I have come to eat pizza and I must say that it is always an excellent choice for those who want to indulge in a light and tasty pizza: thin dough (with a choice between wholemeal and normal) and, in addition to the menu of traditional and special pizzas, you can directly choose the ingredients to make your own pizza. I give three stars to the food only because I haven't yet had the chance to try the first and second courses they offer, but I will definitely be back. The service overall is very good, with polite, smiling and friendly staff. Furthermore, I appreciated the apologies received after a prolonged wait before receiving the ordered pizza (unforeseen cause, not encountered the first time). Advised!
