It remains one of the few traditional trattorias in the centre... fortunately it hasn't changed much... the menu is no longer hand-written, but always raw as in a trattoria.

A superb illuminated storefront full of greenery that attracts attention. Recommended by the backpacker's guide, we wanted to try this restaurant for a quiet lunch. As a starter, a revisitation of carbonara ( with frying), pasta alla gricia as a main course and a tiramisu well balanced with coffee and chocolate for dessert. Plus enthusiastic and friendly service! I recommend!

Very nice restaurant. Located close to the Pantheon but far enough away to avoid the crowds of tourists. I still recommend a reservation to be sure of having a place for the most crowded times (around 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.), do not hesitate to ask for a table located in a small, magnificent and comfortable outdoor courtyard. Price level, it's really correct compared to the quality and quantity. I ate a Roman pizza with mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and raw ham: it was delicious!

Alla Rampa est un restaurant romain emblématique, dont le charme réside dans son ambiance intemporelle et son service élégant. Les serveurs en vestes blanches, un clin d’œil aux grandes traditions italiennes, ajoutent une touche d’authenticité et d’élégance qui est de plus en plus rare. L’atmosphère est chaleureuse, et l’emplacement, près de la Place d’Espagne, est idéal pour une pause après une journée de visite. C’est un lieu qui respire l’histoire, parfait pour un dîner dans un cadre classique. Cependant, si l’ambiance et le service sont irréprochables, la cuisine, elle, mériterait d’être davantage travaillée. Bien que les plats soient généreux et ancrés dans la tradition romaine, certains manquent de finesse et de ce petit “plus” qui ferait toute la différence. Par exemple, des saveurs plus marquées ou une présentation plus soignée permettraient d’élever l’expérience culinaire à la hauteur du cadre et du service. Malgré cela, Alla Rampa reste un endroit agréable pour un repas dans un cadre typiquement romain, surtout si vous appréciez le charme des restaurants d’antan. Avec quelques ajustements en cuisine, ce restaurant pourrait retrouver tout son éclat et offrir une expérience inoubliable.
