The large wisteria and veranda area are distinctive, offering traditional dishes in a tranquil setting. The pinsa is excellent, and the wine list is extensive.

Both dishes were very tasty. The pinsa arrived piping hot and with a wonderful flavor of rosemary and olive oil. The waiter was very pleasant. I recommend it.

Finally, a trattoria/restaurant with a traditional Roman menu and top-quality ingredients. From appetizers to dessert, Andrea's expertise is at the forefront. We'll be back and I highly recommend it. The quality/price ratio is also excellent, and the fried food is exceptional.

I am not sure what to make of this restaurant. I went there on consecutive nights and the experiences were vastly different. The first night, the service and the food were awesome. Everybody LOVED their dishes. Waitress was superb and one of the owners came by to check on us and we told her how much we enjoyed her establishment. That visit rated 5 stars. The next evening we returned but the owner was not there. We had to wait at least 10-15 minutes before a wait person came for our order. We waited for our food another 15 minutes and when it arrived the food did not taste the same as the evening before. Bread was stale and service was slow. The person in charge just did not look interested in doing his job and the experience was quite negative. As I stated above I am not sure what to make of this place. It comes highly recommended from our Roman friends, so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt by awarding them 4 stars, because the second night’s experience merited only 1-star. To the owner(s), I beg you to be there all the time because when you are your food is terrific, service outstanding and the atmosphere fun and energetic. You restaurant is not the same without you.

I loved this wonderful little restaurant that served traditional Roman dishes in a quaint atmosphere. I lived in Italy in the past and have returned many times during the last forty years and can honestly say Otello will be on my list of “must do “ whenever stopping in Rome. Service can be a bit slow, but one must remember you are in Rome, believe me the food is very much worth the wait. If you don’t thoroughly enjoy this place, do not worry. You will soon be back home and your Olive Garden awaits you.

Objectively, I can say: Best restaurant in the world.

Best italian food, service and ambiance in Rome. Within 500 feet of the Spanish steps. We ran into it accidentally and it was the best restaurant we ate at in Rome. Must try. Their tiramisu was incredible as was their fettuccine with artichokes.
