Regional food at a good price and with generous portions. Extensive wine list. The place is quite small, but I was able to eat right away without a reservation. Friendly staff. I ordered a starter and main course, and couldn't finish them. I would definitely go back!

This is a classic Italian trattoria—the kind where the average Italian might drop in for a hearty lunch or a crisp glass of white wine. I personally recommend the grilled calamari with potatoes (see attached picture for proof of my excellent taste). It was absolutely delicious.
The wine list is impressively vast—practically a vinological thesis in itself. Sadly, I had to abstain, as someone had to pilot the vehicle home. I now entrust this noble mission to the next lucky guide.
All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I’ll certainly be back the next time I find myself in Trieste—hopefully with a designated driver.

I often go to eat and I always leave SUPER satisfied!
If I have friends, relatives, new acquaintances and I want to make a good impression, I go for sure!!
If you want to taste the old and typical dishes of Trieste....ALLA BELLA TRIESTE you have to go!!
Remember to book in advance....they want everything!!
