Nice location, good food, friendly waiter but service too slow

A truly wonderful experience. We ate on a Saturday evening without rushing. The waiters were very kind and made sure to warn us that there would be a bit of a wait, but we came to enjoy the view and the cool air and had no intention of eating quickly. I see a lot of frustrated people, apparently those who enjoy giving bad reviews to restaurants even after they've eaten everything. These are young, attentive, and professional guys. The waiter with the hat was extremely polite and friendly, and the guy taking orders was attentive to detail and also super polite. We'll definitely be back, both summer and winter!

While strolling, we came across this typical trattoria. We entered and found a very quaint and characteristic basement room. We had their traditional appetizer and the famous local porchetta, which was delicious. The tonnarelli alla carbonara was truly excellent, delicious and enjoyable until the last bite. The staff was very kind and attentive. I recommend the pistachio cream dessert.

Difficult to reach by car due to the limited traffic zone. We had a person with us who couldn't walk far, and it was an inconvenience. Five of us dined outdoors; the view was beautiful. Unfortunately, even though it was a Wednesday evening, we had to wait half an hour for dinner. The kitchen is very slow; if you have hungry children, it becomes complicated. We tried the house platters with cured meats, porchetta, cheese, and bruschetta. The cured meats weren't homemade but industrial, the cheese was good but only a small piece, the porchetta was good, and the chef's specialty was a casserole dish with ricotta and balsamic vinegar and golden bread. The bruschetta was made with stale bread and wasn't as crispy as it should be. Other diners tried the heifer steak; it was good! The scallops in wine had no flavor. Everything was saved by the owner's kindness and hospitality. The kitchen's timing could definitely be improved.

Everything was delicious, a typical Roman osteria, respecting tradition with typical dishes. The ingredients were good, as was the service.

Per quanto a Frascati sia impossibile non mangiare bene, questa trattoria entra di diritto fra le preferite delle nostre vacanze romane. Comodissima la prenotazione con THE FORK che ci ha dato subito un 20% di sconto, personale giovane e gentilissimo e cibo davvero ottimo. Anche la amatriciana rivisitata con - UDITE UDITE - la cipolla. Ottima. Ci siamo divisi un antipasto misto, due primi (spaziali i tonnarelli cacio e pepe, equilibrati nel gusto), due calici (enormi) di vino, acqua, dolce e due caffè. 50 euro sono stati un prezzo più che giusto. Torneremo sicuramente. P. s. Se non siete del posto e cercate posteggio, c'è a dieci minuti a piedi quello della stazione che può essere pagato con il Telepass.
