This is such a fantastic restaurant. The team are brilliant. Friendly, helpful, informative. Cannot wait to come back to Milan to come here. Around the corner too is a great spot for gelato.

Arrivato a Milano Centrale, da Malpensa, avevo un paio di ore libere prima di salire sul treno che mi avrebbe condotto nelle mie Puglie. Era pieno orario di pranzo ed iniziai ad incamminarmi all’interno della stazione, sempre più affamato, in cerca del boccone perfetto. Su di un blog trovai un elenco di osterie e locande da provare se desiderosi di cucina meneghina. Tutti troppo distanti, il timore del poco tempo era forte, l’ultimo era “Antica Taverna della Pesa”. Non è molto distante, potevo arrivarci con la metro! Tentando la sorte, inizio questa mia avventura in cerca dell’Ossobuco perfetto (non me ne vogliano i locali vicino la stazione). La Taverna era piena e mi invitano a trasferirmi nel Bistrot li di fianco. Il prezzo è allarmante, lo ammetto, ma sono li e continuo a tentare. L’Ossobuco era sublime. In silenzio ero li a contemplare quell’emozione che solo chi vive all’estero averte quando torna a casa. Milano non è casa mia ma in quel momento il mio giardino non aveva limiti. Il risotto, lievemente avanti di sale, ma preparato e mantecato alla perfezione. Tutto era li, il piatto che cercavo, ambiente tranquillo e comodo, cameriere gentile e cortese e avevo anche il tempo per il caffè. Il conto, avanti di sale come il risotto, ma signori il prodotto era ottimo ed ero felice dell’esperienza. Questo è quello che veramente conta. Spero di aver un’altra occasione.

I came here in July 2023 and it was a great time. This is the second restaurant owned by the same people in the same street. the other one is much busier and trendy. This restaurant has nothing wrong, the food was great (amazing Milanese saffron risotto and veal shank), the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was great. it was not really packed but it was early for Italians. I highly recommend this restaurant

The place is family-friendly, well frequented. The asparagus flan (appetizer) is great. It was a rainy Tuesday, normal dinner time. The service was bad, because the waiter was unpleasant, very rushed, even though the place had few people, forcing me to rush with the order several times. It was annoying that he wanted me to order the dish as soon as I sat at the table and ordered wine and water. He didn't let me appreciate anything. I couldn't appreciate the atmosphere, nor the wine. When I ordered the antipasto, I told him that I would like the main course to come after that antipasto and he insisted (very much) that I order the whole thing at once, ensuring that I would bring the main course separately from the antipasto. Even so, to be safe, I asked if he would bring the antipasto first and then, after I finished eating, he would bring the second course, because I eat slowly, I was there alone, relaxing and I wanted to have dinner in peace. He assured me it would be like this and practically forced me to order everything at once. To my surprise, he brought the starter (appetizer) TOGETHER with the main dish (meat). It was ridiculous. I only ate the appetizer and asked to pack the main course and wine for travel.

Very nice place, the service as good as the quality of the food. The Milanese cutlet is excellent.

Informal tavern of the nearby La Pesa restaurant. Classic Milanese menu practically the same as the Trattoria. Very good and traditional dishes. very kind and knowledgeable staff, excellent welcome, recommended place both for a business dinner and for spending time with friends. warm environment and welcoming atmosphere
