Aldo's at Cordella Winery In Montalcino

We booked the dinner and winery tour. The map they provide was helpful for us to find the location and it was a quick drive from our hotel (a bit off the beaten path but google maps got us there!) The tour: The winery and setting was stunningly beautiful, with views of the mountains and the countryside. Aldo was so kind and knowledgeable, as he explained their entire process from grape picking to bottling and shipping. They also have a lovely event space for hosting private events - a wedding here would be top tier!! We really enjoyed walking around the property after, taking pictures and enjoying the sunset. The dinner: The meal described on the website did no justice to the food we were actually served. It was hands down the best food and wine we had on our trip in Italy!! From start to finish, the quality and freshness was evident - the chef and sous chef's talent was shining with every course...it was so much, we felt bad that we could barely eat it all - we were stuffed! The wines for tasting with each course were also exquisite! Our favorite was the Brunello, of course! Aldo was so attentive and informative, as he served our food and wine. We had the best experience. Having visited a few wineries earlier in the week, including going to a wedding at Banfi, this place topped them all by leaps and bounds! I feel like Cordella is a hidden gem that everyone should know about and visit, and we've been telling everyone about it! We will definitely come back if we are in Montalcino again!

Awesome experience. We went to many wineries in Argentina and we went to many tasting experiences as well as the cellar visit and it never felt so good. The truth is today we were just we and Aldo, an awesome host, and the other times it were with other people, but today we felt something more personalized. More deep. Also landscape is amazing, wines are really good, food is really tasty. It's definitely a good try. Enjoy it!

We booked the Superior King room for two nights (March 24-25). The structure is very beautiful: it is surrounded by greenery, renovated, has very few rooms and is ideal for those looking for a bit of tranquility. In the distance there is a road that is slightly busy (during working hours, otherwise no vehicles), but the noise of the cars is practically a buzz that disappears completely in the room: the fixtures are new and isolate the room from these sounds. We liked the room a lot: large, bright and clean. The presence of air conditioning and radiators which can be managed independently is also excellent. To get to the farmhouse you have to travel along a dirt road of about 2 km, but it is sufficient to maintain a medium-low speed to avoid any problems. The farmhouse is in a strategic position to visit all the most interesting places in the Val d'Orcia, such as Pienza, Montalcino, Monticchiello, etc... It is truly ideal for those who want to see these places. We thank the staff who were very kind and helpful

Amazing place, amidst the hills and tranquility. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Mr. Aldo always helpful and kind. The visit to the cellar and the tasting is an experience absolutely worth trying! Highly recommended!

Beautiful resort among the hills of Val d'Orcia. Beautiful room equipped with everything you need for a short stay. Friendly staff. Found the room very warm upon arrival, comfortable and clean beds, spacious bathroom with a nice shower with large tray. Garden with a wonderful view. Everything absolutely perfect.

Considering the low price (in February) we didn't expect such a well-kept and beautiful place. Cozy and clean rooms, garden with elegant chairs and breathtaking views. We were welcomed well. The only flaw is the dirt road to reach it, but in reality it's not even that much of an inconvenience.
