This is truly a fortunate time for me: I'm increasingly encountering restaurants that fully deserve 5 stars! This time, for work, I found myself having lunch in the splendid Oltrepò Pavese, specifically in Rivanazzano Terme. The Oltrepò is a wonderful region in Lombardy, located on the border with Piedmont and Emilia: a crossroads that enriches the local cuisine with delightful influences from all three regions. In a simple, family-friendly atmosphere, I enjoyed flavorful, well-cooked, and carefully presented dishes. Thanks to the kindness of my companions, I sampled several courses, which allows me to review this restaurant with full knowledge of the facts. All the dishes I tried deserve 5 stars, but one in particular, in my humble opinion, deserves 6: the cappuccino appetizer with poached egg, truffle, and mushroom cream. A true symphony of flavors, capable of winning you over from the first bite! All the dishes were excellent, beautifully plated, and complemented by friendly, informal service. The hostess expertly and passionately explained the dishes' characteristics, adding a touch of authenticity to the experience. In short: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

An absolute insider tip steeped in history – the restaurant has been around since 1912, and you can tell: passion and tradition are evident in every detail. The pasta is homemade, and honestly, I probably ate the best pasta of my life here – paccheri with porcini. So simple, yet so incredibly delicious! We also had the spinach gnocchi, the ravioli, and the meat roulade – everything was outstanding and perfectly prepared down to the last detail. The couple who run this beautiful property are also simply warm and welcoming – you immediately feel welcome and cared for. I would come back anytime – an absolute must for anyone who appreciates good food and authentic hospitality. Highly recommended! 🍝❤️

Ristorante Selvatico isn't just an adjective, but rather a refined place where you can relieve the anxiety, stress, and wear and tear of modern life, as the late Ernesto Calindri would say. Refined cuisine and ambiance blend with the spirit of the Oltrepò region. Compulsive eaters, please refrain!
