Albergo Ristorante Sacro Monte In Varese

I am changing the review after discussing with the owner of the restaurant. Prices in my opinion too high compared to the quality (and quantity) of the dishes. I advise restaurant managers to approach group bookings more methodically to avoid misunderstandings that leave customers dissatisfied.

Exceptional panorama with terrace overlooking the lake

The restaurant is located inside a hotel, it is very well positioned, it has tables inside and on the terrace from which you can see all of Varese; you can see that he has good cuisine even if I didn't appreciate the lack of willingness to cook the meat according to my tastes, also claiming that "they are not used to ruining the meat" (!) and consequently forcing me to choose a different dish .

Ate lunch as the only one in the business. Very friendly staff.

Very nice and relaxing atmosphere on top of the Sacro Monte. The feeling you get coming up here is one of great excitement and relaxation. You can have a glass of wine, and all you can here is the wind and the crickets. On a good day from the terrace, you can see all the way to Milan, which is 70km away, and if you turn around, you can see the french alps. What a great place. But they are not happy with just that and provide a great service, professional and dedicated to the customer. Fresh food cooke to order and a great selection of drinks.

My review concerns the restaurant service offered by this property, not the hotel. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of a splendid house characteristic of the Sacro Monte of Varese, with a panoramic terrace which can be used in good weather. The interior is welcoming, clean, familiar, in an elegant style of times gone by. Extreme kindness and customer care from the manager and the young waiter. Excellent food (recommended the onion soup and polenta with donkey), well presented, satisfying. Our table was near a panoramic French door. Excellent value for money. To be recommended

La mia recensione riguarda il servizio di ristorazione offerto da questa struttura, non l'albergo. Il ristorante si trova al pianterreno di una splendida casa caratteristica del Sacro Monte di Varese, con una terrazza panoramica che nella bella stagione è fruibile. L'interno è accogliente, pulito, familiare, in uno stile elegante d'altri tempi. Gentilezza estrema e cura del cliente da parte del gestore e del giovane cameriere. Cibo ottimo (consigliate la zuppa di cipolle e la polenta con l'asino), ben presentato, soddisfacente. Il nostro tavolo era vicino a una porta-finestra panoramica. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Da consigliare.

The review refers to the bar. Courteous and hospitable staff, wonderful location, breathtaking sunset view. We had the spritz, trying the one with borducan (local alcohol) that was recommended to us. All good, until the bill. The cured meats were good, but we spent 47 euros for 4 spritzes and a platter of cured meats, good for goodness sake, but not abundant. A little exaggerated. It's a shame we couldn't consult a price list before ordering, we would have adjusted accordingly. The overall opinion is still positive and I would return for a drink, but in moderation.

Servizio ottimo, accolti con calore e professionalità. Tavolo di fronte alla finestra, vista mozzafiato, soprattutto per godere dello spettacolo della mezzanotte. Proposta Menù adeguata e nelle aspettative. Selezione vini adeguata e di qualità. Abbiamo persino vinto un premio! Grazie!
