We were greeted with great warmth and professionalism. The owner was extremely kind and attentive: she even discounted a dessert from our total, which, according to her, hadn't turned out as she'd hoped, even though it was still very good! We'll definitely be back.

The friendliness of the staff is what sets this place apart, located near the chairlift. The polenta is a guarantee. Recommended!

Ho visitato questo ristorante durante una gita a Macugnaga e mi è stato segnalato da alcuni concittadini conosciuti nella piazza principale. Ristorante tipico della zona con piatti tipici e cucina casalinga ottimo consiglio per pranzare in una bellissima giornata di maggio molto buona la polenta con gli intingoli servizio velocetipico casalingo comunque di buon livello sicuramente da rivisitare al più presto.

Posto da ritornare e consigliare. Tutto buono e abbondante per una vera cucina casalinga. Troppo scotto il primo , forse un altro tipo di pasta (saraceno, farro) avrebbe esaltato di più la pietanza. Trovo fuori luogo la musica dance ad alto volume e servire una bottiglia di vino con dei bicchieri non adeguati .

20/08/2025: One of the best places to get cappuccinos and croissants in Cannobio. Very tasty and inexpensive. It is also in a good location with a lot of shops around
24/07/2025: Appetizers with a complimentary platter at reasonable prices. Sandwiches with real bread. However, salad, mozzarella, and tomatoes were tasteless, with no flavor, and too much bagged salad. Very pleasant service.

15/08/2025: La Genzianella restaurant offers a wide selection of dishes and typical local products, especially cured meats and cheeses. The staff is friendly, attentive to any dietary needs (such as gluten-free options), and prompt in their service. The landscape is simply stunning: the pine forest envelops the restaurant in a marvelous atmosphere, and the mountains in the background are enchanting. Dining at La Genzianella is, quite simply, a dream experience.
29/07/2025: The staff was nice but a bit chaotic. Unfortunately, the food wasn't at all to our taste.
