Albergo Castor In Ayas

The corner room assigned to us is furnished in Alpine style, well-designed, and features a large bathroom with a huge, modern shower and three different water flow settings. A French window leads to the spacious terrace and four windows (one each). Extremely bright! A feature I really appreciate. The room overlooks Champoluc's main street on one side, with shops nearby, and the hotel's well-maintained garden on the other. The hotel is very close to the pedestrian path that runs alongside the Evançon stream, offering pleasant walks that lead to the sports facilities. Hotel Castor has many small nooks furnished with velvet sofas and armchairs, a piano for guests' entertainment, and a reading corner. The dining and breakfast room is very spacious and well-appointed. The breakfast is varied, with a wide selection of sweets (cookies, homemade cakes—very popular—), brioche, and savory options. Fruit juices, yogurt, jams, and fresh fruit are also available. The hosts are courteous and discreet, yet always available for any information or request.

With a group of 50 people for a week, everything was perfect, I can warmly thank the family of owners and all the staff of the Hotel Castor for their professionalism, courtesy and kindness.

Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff, a good restaurant, comfortable lounges, and a garden.

My wife and I stayed there from August 19th to August 29th, and had a wonderful time. We'd had two other experiences there on the 18th and 19th, and everything was always great, from the owners to the entire staff. The food was excellent, with a different menu every day, featuring local specialties. I hope to return.

We had an aperitif in the hotel area. The place is quaint, wooden, and well-maintained. Usually, on Thursdays in the summer, aperitifs are held outdoors, but since it was raining, we had to sit inside. It's a shame that the volume of the pleasant live music was so intense that we couldn't talk to each other... The aperitif was good, and they brought a tray with various snacks (slices of salami, cheese samples, chips, peanuts, olives...). Recommended.
