Albergo Castor In Ayas

A successful, charming, traditional family run hotel. Our comfortable, tastefully decorated room overlooked the front garden and had a modern en suite bathroom. All the staff were genuinely helpful. The hotel has an atmospheric lounge cum bar area that was fun to be in after a day skiing. The restaurant serves delicious home cooked Italian food and there's an extensive wine list and well stocked cellar. Both the owner and his wife are sommeliers.

Great hotel, brilliant and extremely helpful staff

We spent one night at this property. New, large, well-equipped, clean room and a large balcony. Excellent breakfast with a very wide choice: sweet, savory, fresh fruit, cooked fruit. A delight. As a celiac I had no problems as the facility offers bread, biscuits, cereals, muffins etc. all gluten-free. For skiers there is a ski room and boot dryer (I would suggest adding an additional wall so that everyone can put their boots in). More than appreciated the use of the shuttle from the hotel to the departure of the Champoluc-Crest cable car. We were satisfied with our overnight stay. Compliments!

Given the excellent location of the hotel, it is possible to reach the hiking trails, both basic and expert, with good ease. A few steps from the hotel we find several restaurants where you can eat and taste excellent quality food with local raw materials. The room appears to be tidy and well-stocked, in the bathroom there was a very generous welcome kit, towels and phone. The room appears to be generally welcoming and clean, tidy and equipped with all the comforts that the structure offers (TV, blankets, fridge). The view from the small balcony offers an exceptional view of some peaks. The one and only negative note about the room are the sheets and towels: we found several hairs inside the bed upon our arrival and a dirty tomato towel. THE BREAKFAST is really delicious, very varied (even for those who are celiac). Fresh products every morning: cured meats and cheeses, cakes, brioshes, yogurt, fruit and much more! Overall a great experience which we would recommend to everyone, the staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We will certainly return to this hotel, given the very accessible quality-price ratio.

We left this morning, and I would already like to go back to breathe the air of home, yes because at the Castor hotel it feels exactly like that, for us it was a wonderful six-day holiday, everyone from the dining room staff to the kitchen at the reception and to the friendly owners we want to extend our thanks for allowing us to experience this splendid week in your Hotel Castor, in the hope of seeing you again we wish you all the best in your work, you are in our hearts, Bruno and Loredana thank you 💔 (Everything perfect from the kitchen, excellent and plentiful dishes, for the wines we had excellent recommendations, plentiful breakfasts both sweet and savory, the girls in the room were always present and attentive to everything, excellent thanks)

It is one of the most beautiful hotels in Champoluc and one of the most classic. Beautiful rooms, many with small balconies. Large dining room with classic and elegant furnishings but always with mountain style. From the collection to the dinner everything was excellent. The staff is always very present and kind. I have been to this hotel several times and have always had a good time....I recommend it to 💯
