My favorite hotel. Very central location in the heart of the town with a truly unique charm and magic. The structure is typical of a mountain hotel, with red windows and dark wood balconies, while inside classic meets modern, with recently renovated, well-kept and spotlessly clean rooms. Last but not least...our cat loves it!!! The staff is really kind and welcoming and the breakfast is simply fantastic I go back whenever I can

Hotel Castor, traveling as a couple, the mountain-style room, wooden finishes that make you feel like you are in a chalet at high altitude, the bathroom and common areas are very clean, much appreciated. Abundant breakfast equipped with everything, appreciate the jams in small jars, dinner consisting of entrees, first and second course of your choice from three options (including vegan) and dessert. Appreciate the potatoes, both baked and fried, good dishes, well portioned and of good quality. The service was very helpful and professional, we had a great time receiving information for the walks and the open ski lifts. We had a very good time, there was no lack of fresh air, the town of Champoluc with its walks and views regenerated us, the staff at the Castor hotel pampered us. Advised!

Very welcoming and characteristic hotel, the room was very nice with the terrace equipped with armchairs, the breakfast was also good. The owners were very courteous and helpful, we also had a problem with our car and they promptly took action and resolved it as best as possible. Pleasant mountain hotel, comfortable environment. Very friendly and helpful staff, central location convenient for a walk in the town. The room is very welcoming, mountain style, but at the same time modern. Reasonable price.

We arrived in Champoluc unplanned, having skied down from the top of the Zermatt ski area intending to stay in a mountain hut up in the Monta Rosa but were unable to make it due to weather conditions and time. Having initially struggled to find anywhere to stay (it was a Saturday afternoon during the school holidays!) we were talking to a man who, as it turns out, was from the Ski Club of Great Britain. He was staying at Hotel Castor and advised we call them for a room. When we called there was no availability but, as we were close by we decided to pop in for a beer while we figured out what we were going to do. We were welcomed into the hotel and the staff very quickly got us our beers and then proceeded to insist that they would get a room for us. They did just that, provided a nice big room for the 3 of us with great facilities. Having been on a long and sweaty ski tour we looked quite disheveled so we appreciated not being turned away at the sight of us! We ate in the restaurant that evening and found the staff and the owner very helpful and friendly. The food was great, particularly breakfast which ranks well up in my 'Top 10 Breakfasts' rankings. The wine selection also was fantastic, all of the wines we had were local to the Aosta Valley. In the morning the owner and his son, a ski instructor, helped us plan our 'escape route' back over the Swiss border, giving us invaluable advice on snow conditions and landscape enabling us to access the Cervinia ski area from Saint Jacques, just up the road from Champoluc, where we were kindly dropped by the hotels shuttle bus. We are incredibly grateful to the whole team at Hotel Castor for taking us in and looking after us when we needed it and we hope to come back to visit again. Next time hopefully planned and with more than 1 spare pair of socks with us!

Excellent location, a lot of attention in taking care of the room, kind staff, adequate breakfast, for dinner.... the raw materials are certainly of high quality.... "personally" I would review the creation and method of presentation of the dishes.

Nice hotel in the heart of Champoluc, 10 min walk to the skilift. Cosy bar and spacious rooms. Genuin italian food and excellent service in the restaurant.

Old, beautiful hotel with lots of wood. Beautiful bar, individually designed, very nice staff and professional management. Weekly wine tastings with wonderful local wines. Every Tuesday there is a karaoke evening with Hermann, the boss, an Englishman who moved to Champoluc. Very good, multi-course menu and a breakfast buffet that is impressive. Be careful when visiting: Don't stumble over Laica, the Hovawart dog. Highly recommended. The ski area is sensational, but not for beginners.
