Al Vecio Canton In Venezia

Very good food, excellent service.

After a long day of touring the beautiful surrounding islands we came across Al Vecio Canton the music and the cool vibe drew is in. We asked for AC and the waiter took us upstairs. With the low ceilings and the cool decor, we knew we were in someplace special. My wife and I weren't super hungry so we shared the calzone. The light crust was domed high and was at least 14 inches across. Once we tasted it we became very hungry and demolished it. Paired with inexpensive wine and an Apriol Spritz. We were satisfied and out the door for just 30 euro. You won't go wrong with this restaurant.

I went for dinner and was greeted by friendly staff in a homely atmosphere! The squid ink pasta in particular was delicious, with a strong umami flavor! It seems to be popular with Japanese people, as there were about four tables full of Japanese people at the time...I wanted to experience the local atmosphere, so it was a bit of a letdown that there were only Japanese people there, but I think it's the perfect restaurant for those who don't mind and want to feel at ease.

A VERY, VERY GOOD ADDRESS 🤩 One small drawback: the online reservation 🤨 We made a reservation (and confirmed it by email!) for Friday evening. Upon arrival, the restaurant was closed for renovations 😲 Since we had already eaten there during our previous stay, I decided to repeat the reservation for the next day. Confirmation by email again, but no trace of it upon arrival at the restaurant... Once in France, the reservation was confirmed for the day after our return, at noon 😂 A bit short to make it, so I canceled and received another one for the evening, which I also had to cancel 😭 That aside, an excellent meal that emphasized Venetian specialties, with a special mention for the trio of specialties: the gnocchetti scallops, the vongole, and the chef's pistachio dessert 🤤 We particularly appreciated the kindness, spontaneity, and efficiency of our young server, as well as the deadpan attitude of the owner 😉

Cozy place with downstairs and upstairs so just ask if they have a table even if they look busy. Great food - gnocchi was really great with a very nice seafood sauce with scallops. Even basic penne with veggies was lovely. Sea bass came on fun potatoes tower.

Food was very good. They had gluten free pizza and tiramisu.

Pizza is good. Beer kind of warm. Service ok. Cover charge €3. Ambiance avg.

Une bonne découverte ! Le restaurant était très bon avec un large choix. Le service est top avec un personnel très sympa.

Bel posto, caldo e confortevole. Servizio impeccabile. Pizza biscottata ben oltre la cottura. Pasta con sapore e consistenza non all'altezza dell'ottimo condimento. Fegato alla veneziana con una tendenza troppo dolce per me, ma credo che sia una tipicità del piatto.
