We had high hopes for this restaurant given its reputation and the many accolades plastered on the doors, but overall the experience didn’t live up to expectations. The service was unfriendly and dismissive, which set the tone for the meal. At one point, our placemats were left oily from the plates, and despite us gesturing, mentioning they were dirty, and even stacking them at the front of the table, the staff never replaced them. Instead, we sat through dessert with greasy, food-stained placemats right in front of us- not exactly the atmosphere you want for enjoying a “fancy” meal. As for the food, there were some hits and some misses. The lamb rib chops were fine but nothing remarkable. Of the pastas we tried, the pesto with hazelnuts was our favorite, while the mushroom pasta was bland and under-salted. The calamari, however, was excellent- fresh, crispy, and elevated by crunchy zucchini and sweet potatoes. Dessert was underwhelming: the “mixed fruit” turned out to be just strawberries, and the tiramisu was cloyingly sweet. Nothing we ate was terrible, but overall the dishes leaned pretentious without delivering. Combined with the poor service, the restaurant simply didn’t live up to the hype or the glowing reviews.

Excellent dinner in the center of Viterbo. Everything was delicious, including excellent local dishes. Very good. We'll definitely be back.

Beautiful and charming place, very kind staff, exceptional wine, excellent food quality. Completely enchanted by the "battered chicory"... Highly recommended.

The choice of quality and quantity was just right... Everything was good, as per tradition... excellent service from Miss Imma, who always smiled every time she came to our table... The lady who took our order (sorry, I don't know her name) was kind and professional, but lacked empathy and a smile... in my opinion, this aspect doesn't detract from the quality of the food or the location, but it could add a little more empathy to the service. Abbiamo cenato qui il 25 aprile. Purtroppo ci hanno fatto accomodare nel locale affianco, esteticamente non bello come la sala principale. Abbiamo preso una pizza fritta con porchetta, ottima....buonissimi anche i primi, soprattutto la carbonara....un po' meno il secondo. Tempi di attesa un po' lunghi. Conto nella media.

Nella centralissima piazza delle Erbe, in uno dei tanti vicoletti si trova questa osteria tipica viterbese. Ci accomodiamo subito avendo prenotato. Menù con ricette tradizionali ed altre rivisitate. Abbiamo preso una pizza fritta con rucola e porchetta seguita da un classico della cucina romana, la carbonara. Per chiudere pollo alla viterbese. La pizza fritta molto saporita, diversa da come viene fatta a Napoli, ma fritto non unto e leggero; carbonara molto saporita e ben presentata in un coccio di ceramica. Infine il pollo, anche esso sfizioso e saporito. Qualità prezzo ottima, unica nota di miglioramento per le cameriere, alcune delle quali hanno avuto, non specificatamente nei nostri confronti, un atteggiamento poco cordiale.
