Al Vaticano In Riva del garda

Top service, super nice atmosphere. The lasagna was a bit small, but tasted great. I'd gladly go back.

The food is very delicious, but the Tunisian who served the orders was unfortunately not cooperative.

We stumbled across this restaurant while on a day visit to Riva from Desenzano, it was market day so the restaurant was obscured from the S. Maria church side by a large market truck so we almost missed it. However a beautiful young Italian woman offered 2 free proseccos as an apertivo so we said why not. The menu is excellent with plenty of choice, we opted for the lamb and duck with a shared Greek salad and a bottle of Bardalino. As one of our(Irish) female politicians is wont to intone, "I have to say", this was one of the best meals we've had so far on our 8 day tour of Verona and Lake Garda. The lamb, 5 good size lion chops, was perfectly cooked and seasoned pink and succulent, as was the duck breast. A Greek salad accompaniment was flavoursome. As the main food course was so good(compliments to the chef) we opted to share a Tiramisu, also delicious. If you are in Riva give this restaurant a try. Total cost €101. 🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴

We were fortunate to discover this restaurant early during our holiday and ended up eating there 3 times. Delicious food, the best we had all week, friendly service and great value for money. Especially good as a veried menu compared to predominently pasta/pizza which we found elsewhere.

The main courses taste good, except that side dishes have to be ordered separately and cost extra. The tomato salad (pictured below), which is unseasoned, is actually just tomato and onion. Everything you need to make your own tomato salad is on the table, but for €5.20, you'd expect a ready-made tomato salad. The ambiance depends on where you sit; there are seats on the street and in the courtyard. The waiters are friendly, but they don't stress you.

I heard from my friends that this restaurant is delicious, so I immediately made an appointment to have dinner there the next day. We were not disappointed! My friends and I were very satisfied!

Great food and service!! Perfectly done meat, excellent truffle pasta. Everything fresh and served in less than 10 minutes. In addition, very polite and smiling waiters. Although there are many restaurants in Riva, we returned to Al Vaticano the next day. A place worth recommending.

Carne salada, petto d'anatra e ravioli di lavarello eccezionali! Gentilissimo e molto presente il personale. Ringraziamo per l'aperitivino. Abbiamo mangiato nella saletta interna ma c'è anche un grande cortile.
