Excellent bigoli with a wide selection of sauces. Very generous portions and excellent quality.
Friendly and fast service. Also recommended for children. A little outside the city center but easily accessible on foot.

A restaurant near the Mantova station, specializing in a specific type of pasta: Bigole. They only make this type of pasta and have several sauces to accompany it: ragù, Mantova carbonara, pumpkin and sausage... the pumpkin-based ones are very interesting.
The portions, which are ordered by weight, are quite good-sized, the food is good, and they always give you a small starter, usually a cured meat. We had a charcuterie board and pasta: pumpkin and sausage on one side, Mantova sausage on the other. Everything was delicious... and at a very good price. Food, drinks, and tea... around 40 euros.
The service is fast and friendly. One of the girls who served us spoke Spanish. The other girl, equally friendly and efficient at her job, spoke Italian very quickly for me... but we switched to English and improved it.
We went during Holy Week and got a table without waiting, but many people without a reservation had to turn away.
I highly recommend this place.

The food is excellent... the bigoli are super... delicious.
As for the service, I think a paper menu would help... the QR code is nice, but sometimes you can't use your cell phone... the space is a bit small... but you'll be so successful that a larger restaurant is only a matter of time... BRAVE

We booked by chance because it was the only restaurant with availability, and what started out as a remedy actually turned into a delightful experience.
The atmosphere is informal, decorated simply but tastefully; the concept of a large shared table is a fun one. The staff is very kind and attentive, and even when the restaurant was full, their attention was never lacking.
The gastronomic experience was truly enjoyable; the base is bigoli, and you can indulge in a creative variety of sauces. We chose the pumpkin and Gorzonzola sauces, both top marks.
To finish, we couldn't miss the sbrisolosa... exceptional!

Such a simple lunch, but one I'd definitely like to do again. The price was excellent and in line with the location.
It's a very intimate, simple setting, but I honestly loved it. I'd say it was original.
We ordered the trio of bigoli, all three of which were fantastic, but definitely too much for three girls. But we were warned! 😂

Very good bigoli. They're worth it. We really enjoyed it. The dessert, the tiramisu, was delicious, but not entirely convincing. The coffee, however, was disappointing: if it wasn't from a capsule, it was similar, reminding me of the coffee I drink at the office. I expected better coffee in a restaurant. A matter of taste, I guess. The establishment is quiet and spacious. We arrived without a reservation and found a table without any problems. The staff was attentive and efficient. We would return.

Locale moderno e buon servizio, piatti buoni e ben calibrati, saporiti ma non pesanti, merito anche delle materie prime scelte.
