The trattoria is decent, but not entirely in keeping with the Gambarie setting. In a place like this, especially during this period when fresh mushrooms abound, one would expect a menu that highlights local produce: local potatoes (not frozen), mushrooms, and the many other excellent local products. Unfortunately, there's a lack of a true gastronomic culture rooted in tradition and the appreciation of local resources. It's a shame, because there's so much potential.

The food was good, but the service was a bit slow (Saturday lunchtime), probably due to the large number of customers, so we had to ask several times for second courses.
It's a shame there are no high chairs for children (only one in the entire restaurant is really not enough).
The stuffed pasta and wild boar ragù are definitely worth trying!

On August 15th, I had dinner with my family. We ate a traditional menu with truly delicious macaroni and ragù, not to mention the wine. The owner was kind and attentive, and we even chatted a bit. If I could offer one piece of advice, I'd lighten the atmosphere a bit, removing the dated and uninteresting trinkets. The historic photos are beautiful. We'd be happy to return next year.

Menu: We had tagliolini with mushrooms and ricotta gnocchi for the first course, and stew with cheeses for the second course. Everything was excellent. The portions aren't particularly generous, but they're sufficient if you order the full menu. 5
Bill: Prices are average for the place, I'd say more than affordable. 5
Location: A nice, clean, and comfortable place. 4
Service: Here's the sore point. The service was quick in bringing the food to the tables, even considering the place was full, but for a vegetarian guest, they couldn't make any changes to one dish; they even refused to change the pasta shape with a plain sauce. The gnocchi were already prepared and available, and so was the sauce, since macaroni with sauce was on the menu, so this rigidity is truly incomprehensible. The bread didn't arrive immediately, but only with the second course; if you want to mop up the sauce with mop, you can't. This is a bad place. 2

I went there with my family a few nights ago for pizza. It wasn't anything planned; we were in Santo Stefano in Aspromonte, and at the last minute we decided to go back for pizza. Even though the place was packed, they immediately found a convenient solution for us. There are four of us in the family: my wife, two small children (three years old and the youngest is six months old), and I. They gave us a table for six so we could fit more comfortably with the stroller and the older one's car seat. The pizza is always excellent, full of ingredients, and most importantly, NOT BURNED. One of the things I appreciate most is that they don't bring it with the usual burnt bottom or sides; well cooked, but not burned! Well done!!!

Locale a due passi dalla piazza centrale . Staff cordiale e disponibile . Abbiamo preso antipasto fritto misto, bruschette molto buone e due primi favolosi: una carbonzucca e tagliatelle con finocchietto selvatico e burrata . Infine tortino dal cuore caldo come dolce . Tutto favoloso. Ottima qualità-prezzo.. Sicuramente ci ritorneremo.

Ristorante immerso nel verde bosco di gambarie, accogliente e ben arredato per i turisti che cercano atmosfera di montagna, personale gentile e presente, cibo caratteristico e saporito, complimenti.
