As they would say during a movie shoot... "a good first impression"! Finally, on Friday, September 26th, we visited this wonderful place. It's hard to find the words to describe such beauty. This wonderful place has been transformed into an old pasta factory. It's family-run, and the owner, who welcomes customers, makes you feel immediately at ease. The menu offers a variety of dishes... we chose fish. Everything was prepared with great care and skill by the mother. I can sum it all up in one word... excellent!!! The photos accompanying my review are proof of what I've written... You have to try it to believe it!!!

Great restaurant that I discovered by accident on my motorbike! I run two restaurants in the upscale category myself, and I can only recommend this one! Beautiful local wines and top fresh seafood and fish cooked to perfection, thank you very much, I'll definitely come back when I'm in Friuli!!

Ristorante Ai Due Leoni

26/07/2025: We recently had lunch at this restaurant and were generally satisfied 👍. Arriving around 12:00 🕛 after having spotted the restaurant by car 🚘, we asked if we could sit down; at that point we were asked if we preferred a veranda or a completely outdoor setting. Opting for the latter, we then waited for a table to be prepared for us next to those already reserved 📞. Browsing the menu 📋, we immediately noted the deliciousness of the various options, finally choosing two second courses (lamb chops on mint and pea puree and cod in squid ink with green asparagus) accompanied by two portions of chips 🍟. To complete the order, we also ordered a small beer 🍺, a 0.75-liter bottle of sparkling water 💧, and a glass of Cabernet Franc 🍷, followed by two coffees ☕. Everything was absolutely tasty 😋 and well-cooked, and the choreography of the dishes was also excellent 👌. The staff were very kind and friendly, from the manager 🧑🏻 who welcomed us to the various girls 👩🏻👩🏼 who then served us. However, I must make a comment regarding the wait times and, more generally, the organizational aspect: if, initially, everything went well, then something stopped working... we waited over half an hour for the coffees, while the desserts 🍰, despite repeated requests, never even arrived. Not that it was the end of the world, in fact the rating remains largely positive 👍, however I think it's fair to point it out; it should also be said that the place was full anyway and this may have caught the staff a bit off guard. I'm also aware of the current difficulties (including psychological ones) of a category, that of restaurateurs, against which our illegitimate government has declared an unjustified and intolerable all-out war; therefore, I fully support this and, nevertheless, wish the business a good restart. Prices are perhaps slightly higher than average but in any case fair in relation to the quality. Bathrooms 🚾 clean and tidy 🚽🧻. Parking area 🅿️ not huge but still adequate. The surrounding rural setting is pleasant even though the structure faces the main road 🛣 connecting Aquileia and Grado. Overall, we had a good time, so I RECOMMEND IT 👍. 07/09/2025: Very good pizza, the tiramisu is PERFECT, and the staff is very friendly, I highly recommend!!
28/08/2025: A true discovery in Marano! At JO Bistrot, every dish is a tribute to the sea. The seafood salad is incredibly fresh and fragrant, the mixed fried fish is light and crispy, and the grilled calamari with polenta is simply unforgettable. Sincere compliments to the chef, who manages to enhance every ingredient with passion and mastery. You can sense his love for cooking in every detail. The service is welcoming and attentive, the atmosphere warm and convivial. A restaurant that conquers the heart and the palate: I can't wait to return!
