Here at the King of Tortellini, we ate truly excellent pumpkin tortelli, pear and Gorgonzola tortelli, and classic tortellini, as well as the famous Torta di Rose.
Highly recommended for the location (the garden is also available in the summer) and the friendly, fast service.

We took a bike tour from Peschiera to Valeggio and were "lured" here by the good reviews – and we weren't disappointed. We tried all sorts of tortellini variations, all absolutely delicious. The dessert was also worth the indulgence. We sat on the terrace and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Highly recommended!

While traveling along the Mantua-Peschiera cycle path, my friend and I decided to stop in Valeggio to try the famous Valeggio tortellini.
Deciding on the restaurant
Al Re Del Tortellino
was an excellent choice.
A beautiful atmosphere, managed by friendly and knowledgeable staff. The traditional tortellini are delicious, as is the charcuterie board. The house red wine (Merlot Cabernet) is also excellent.
The prices for the dishes were also good.
We'll be back to try other types of tortellini on the menu.

We had lunch in the cellar, a very charming place, with very polite, friendly
and helpful staff.
The cold cuts appetizer was good, the tortellin were fabulous... especially the ones with leeks and bacon, a real treat 😋

We visited this small, attractively decorated restaurant on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. The service was competent and friendly. The various tortellini were good, but couldn't compare to the quality of the handmade tortellini at the nearby Alla Borsa restaurant. Unfortunately, the owner was very unfriendly. He said that if we wanted to speak to him, we should speak Italian, as he would also speak German when he travels to Germany. So, if you want to be insulted, go there!
