It's my historic restaurant. I've been going there practically for over 30 years. When it was on Via Empolese it was called Trattoria da Osvaldo, and I remember that it was an obligatory destination for truck drivers. With this I'll let you imagine the type of cuisine and the quality/quantity of the portions, basically what perfectly embodies the phrase "typical Tuscan cuisine". The ragù has now become a "must" also for my children who I bring there periodically. Fundamentally simple dishes but like grandmothers made them on Sunday lunch. They also make delicious pizzas for takeaway too. There is no world without Il Portico!

The simplicity that wins as master, the delight of the equally simple Tuscan cuisine, the normal life of the managers that flows among the customers, places like this are increasingly rare!

Ristorante storico della Valdinievole. Il proprietario, un signore molto anziano, gira tra i tavoli prendendo le comande e servendo le pietanze; ovviamente non è da solo. Il locale è molto ampio, con spazio anche all’aperto. Noi abbiamo preso un gustoso antipasto toscano e varie pizze: tutto molto buono, soprattutto il pane arabo. La cifra pagata è stata nella norma. Sicuramente ci torneremo.
