Al Pallaio In Livorno

Locale accogliente. La tipica trattoria livornese di un tempo. Ragazzi camerieri bravissimi e attenti. Qualche sbavatura nella parte degli ordini curata dai padroni del locale. Piatti non arrivati tutti insieme dalla cucina, piatti ordinati e non portati se non dopo vari solleciti. Cibo buono. Prezzo contenuto. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Lo consiglio.

Tornati per l’ennesima volta in questa tipica trattoria livornese con amici. Disponibili e cordiali come sempre con caratteristica “vena livornese” che allieta la serata. Vi consiglio, se disponibile, il fuori menù della minestra di pesce; una bontà assoluta che rappresenta un piatto tipico che difficilmente troverete nelle trattorie! Se c’è prendetela al volo. Per il resto tutto molto buono ed anche il servizio è veloce. Sul prezzo non sto neppure a dirvelo…

Typical Livorno trattoria without many frills. If you are looking for the restaurant that they show you in Borghese's programs, it is not your place. Excellent quality/price ratio (three of us each had a first course, a second course, a bottle of wine, a dessert and the inevitable punch, spending 75 euros in total). Generous portions. Typical environment that reflects the liveliness of the owner, a little small but nice (inside). The service was a little haphazard (the courses never arrived together) but all in all we left the restaurant satisfied with what we had eaten. The only negative note was that the owner, who was having a bad day, seemed a bit rude towards a table, who I later discovered were his relatives who were celebrating his birthday (!). but I think it was just a bad day.

Normal prices, food that is not exciting but discreet, without infamy and without praise, a very Livorno and familiar place

Not a very large place, nice, old style, typical Livorno. They mainly eat seafood dishes but there are some land options (few, to be honest). Normal portions, good food, fair prices. Recommended mixed vegetarian starter.
