The atmosphere, service, and food are what you'd expect from a traditional trattoria. The fish dishes are excellent, with generous portions, and... well, at Pallaio, it's a great place to be!

Surprise, excellent food, warm welcome.
Fish soup like my grandmother used to make, excellent grilled squid, perfectly tender and flavorful, panna cotta with punch cream.
I'll definitely be back.

What can I say, a truly positive surprise!!
We were lucky, as other restaurants we'd already tried had a rest day. It was delicious, truly!! I think I found all the tradition of Livorno cuisine in this trattoria, accompanied by the kindness and friendliness of the staff. It's not to be missed.
P.S. I notice the passion for football on one of the walls and I deduce that there's a conflict among the fans. Livorno, not surprisingly, is home to the Armando Picchi stadium, dedicated to the legendary player. However, the same city is also the birthplace of Bergamo, a very controversial club.

Recommended to me by a neighbor at another restaurant, it is confirmed to be the best caciucco I've had in Livorno. The surprise is the garlic-scraped croutons not next to the plate but underneath all the delicious fish and sauce. The cod is also excellent. The owner is friendly, the service good, and the price is overall reasonable.

I'd never been there before. A pleasant surprise. The owners and waiters are kind and friendly. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. The place is very cute and welcoming. I couldn't have asked for anything better. I'll definitely be back.
