Very beautiful and interesting Malatesta Fortress. I recommend the visit.

Our itinerary would not have been complete if we had not stopped at the Rocca Malatestiana. A real gem, the heart of Cesena, whose history was made even more interesting to us thanks to our guide. A round of applause therefore goes to Mr. Enrico for accompanying us on this journey inside and outside the Rocca, above all a journey back in time, when the Malatestas were the Lords of the city. The history, origins and various uses that have been made of this complex over time are interesting, having arrived today after 700 years, still mostly intact. We booked the visit in advance, via a whatsapp number found on the online site, very simple and fast. A confirmation of the booking and all the directions to get there will be given in response. The ticket is then purchased on site. The price of €5 is more than affordable, especially if you consider that it is a guided tour.

Upon entering you go back 600 or more years. The guided museum is amazing. The route winds from the Fortress to the Museum of Weapons and Knights until it travels internally through the hidden corridors of the entire fortress. Then the various refreshment points offer a great choice of a happy stop. From the Fossa cheese sandwich to the Romagna specialty restaurant and beyond. Excellent Sicilian cannoli. Finally, the park with a jazz, rock or folk concert completes the day or evening.

We happened to pass by the Rocca for a walk on Sunday after lunch and we heard the guide saying last call for tickets before the tour and we took advantage of it with the girls. I don't have any photos, I was focused on the view and the excavations under the fortress to take photos which will surely be found online anyway. Beautiful visit, super nice and kind guide, gorgeous place.

Stunning and imposing medieval fortress. Entrance €5 with guide, Enrico, a knowledgeable, kind person who knows the fortress very well with all its anecdotes and secrets. Inside there is a museum of peasant art, which is also beautiful. medieval weapons and armor and equipment for medieval jousting are on display. All managed by a reliable site, with real and efficient contacts. You can easily arrive on site and buy your ticket on the spot, guided tours leave every hour.

A nice alternative Saturday evening! Pleasant experience at the Rocca, among tunnels and splendid views, good dinner and fair portions. Next time I would like to try it in days and in nice weather! Compliments!

We took part in an evening guided tour. His story is very interesting. It's a shame that nothing remains of the medieval frescoes. Still worth a visit!

Visita guidata con pranzo a 20,00 euro è stato un vero affare. La Rocca a differenza di altre simili è una vera sorpresa per quello che custodisce dentro le sue mura.
