I was told that I shouldn't miss this historical restaurant for its food and environment. I went with my Italian friend on a Monday evening, when many restaurants are closed. My experience? I have mixed feelings: maybe Italian people could appreciate the place more than me (my friend was an enthusiast), because they can see connections with the past. To me, besides the quite interesting internal design, which is clearly a piece of architecture from the seventies, the food was not so intriguing and overpriced. The service is very old-fashioned, the wine list is very appreciable with uncommon labels. For foreign food lovers, it's a place to visit once if you are keen on Italian restaurant history.

In a word? Savoir-faire. Difficult to find another place like this in Turin. Good things are indifferent to the passage of time, talk about this place only to those you think will understand.

I liked the restaurant, the staff too. A little pricey but I'm happy to give them to you :) The Florentine is a must! I had been here once, 38 years ago, and I was in my mother's belly, I returned yesterday and I will return every time I come to Turin, great place!

16/06/2024: Trovato per caso su Tripadvisor, siamo rimasti piacevolmente stupiti! Il locale è davvero molto carino, il personale super gentile ed alla mano, ma soprattutto i piatti sono uno più buono dell’altro, dall’antipasto al dolce! Senza dubbio lo consiglio e sicuramente torneremo.
02/03/2024: Bel posticino dal carattere particolare. L'arredamento adatto e caratteristico. Piatti molto buoni e cuoco presente in sala. Passati più volte con il bis dei piatti. Serata a tema cena col delitto. Attori molto bravi che ci hanno fatto vivere una serata diversa dal solito. Consigliato a tutti. Ci torneremo di nuovo!!

10/01/2024: I found myself in this restaurant by chance. I had a complete lunch, first course, second course, water and coffee. Price €13 I would say that for that price it was more than okay. Convenient parking in quiet place
07/12/2023: Menu at 14 euros with coffee, excellent food, welcoming staff, restaurant and clean facilities. Sore point is the parking, 3-4 trucks max. Free shower for those who eat at the restaurant. Open Saturday for lunch.
