We went, on the advice of a nice Neapolitan couple, to try the genuine and honest cuisine of the Cilento hinterland. An experience I would dare to say extraordinary! The quintessence of food and aromas of the highest quality, starting from the potato offered by the restaurant, to be tried with the trio of locally produced oils, one better than the other. Two wonderful first courses of raw handmade pasta, one with chickpea and cod cream, the other formed with a trio of vegetables, with a sprinkling of grated aged goat cheese, nothing short of fantastic. A rabbit cacciatore that released sublime aromas and flavors, so good that I forgot to photograph it. All prepared with simplicity, without mannerisms of any kind, accompanied by a local white wine in bulk, very interesting. I rarely get excited about food, this is one of them, an unforgettable experience! Let's add a rural location immersed in the hills of the beautiful Cilento, professional and prepared staff, more than honest price. What more could you ask for? The dessert, but there was no room in the belly and reluctantly, we had to stop.

I am Neapolitan and I say it with conviction: the pizzas at Il Frantuio are truly delicious! Crispy just right, light dough and quality ingredients that speak for themselves. We also tasted the starters, one better than the other, prepared with care and authentic flavours.
A special mention goes to the oil: exceptional, fragrant, balanced... so much so that we couldn't resist and bought a bottle to take home.
The place is also very immersed in a place of absurd beauty, well-kept and very characteristic. An experience that goes beyond food – it's a true journey into flavors and tradition.
We will definitely be back!

Locale rustico, giardino molto ben tenuto e cibo davvero buono. La pasta fresca era eccezionale, ottime le lagane ai ceci e non male le tagliatelle ai carciofi che ho assaggiato da mia moglie (la pasta ottima, il condimento buono ma non saporitissimo). Bene anche la brace mista ed il dolce. La ragazza che ci ha serviti era cortesissima e si è offerta, non senza che lo chiedessimo, di far rifare la pizza al bambino cui non era piaciuto il formaggio sopra. Unico neo, la strada da fare per arrivarci, qualche km in salita un pò ripida e piena di curve, ma ne vale la pena.
