Al Fornello In Valeggio sul mincio

The environment is undoubtedly perfect, everything in its place in rustic and familiar rooms, with hanging pots and drapes, antique tools restored and reused as cabinets or furnishing objects, photos of the past... Outside a pergola with tables perfect for summer evenings, on the walls all the awards obtained over time. Even though there are more rooms, it is difficult to find a place if you have not booked well in advance, even during the week. The menu is written in italics on a very nice notebook, it is not very vast but has excellent dishes. The trio of tortellini was a good choice, with different and unexpected flavors (ricotta, spinach and speck + pumpkin and amaretto + asparagus) and the portion is more than right given the size of the pasta. Cod with polenta is different from the Vicenza creamed cod in that it remains softer and tastier. The Rosi dessert with chocolate cream and amaretto is good, the consistency is a bit soft which I don't like but the taste was there. Prices are quite average

On the occasion of a weekend in Valeggio we went to dinner in this restaurant convinced by the reviews and the style of the place seen in the photos and I must say that we were able to enjoy food of truly exceptional quality, we noticed an important customer care with a fair cost and proportionate to the courses taken. A truly unforgettable experience and one that we will do again when we return to these parts. Congratulations for all the effort they put into managing their place.

Everything was delicious, the appetizers were plentiful and with a variety of products, the very kind owner made us sit, finding a table despite the crowd, and offered us some glasses of wine they produced, which was much appreciated. Thank you!

April 12, 2025. I found this place by chance while browsing Maps and I must say that it was a nice surprise. The place is furnished with things from old memories, everything is tidy and clean and the food is exceptional; tasty and well presented and even those serving the tables were kind and approachable. We left happy across the board.

Siamo venuti in questa trattoria consigliati da un amico per degustare la carne alla brace.La trattoria si presenta bene con varie salette . Abbiamo degustato un filetto alla brace con radicchio trevigiano a seguire altri filetti alla brace con San Daniele e salsa ,cottura perfetta e carne morbidissima ,il tutto accompagnato da vino rosso Bardolino e Merlot .A seguire tiramisù. Personale molto gentile e professionale. Conto nella media. Assolutamente consigliato per chi ama la buona carne.

Essendo della zona ho prenotato per una cena con amici ma non è per niente quel ristorante che mi aspettavo. Sovrabbondanza di cianfrusaglie a coprire la bellezza della struttura rustica. Menù con proposte interessanti ma con prezzi medio/alti e porzioni ridotte. Dolci classici e zero innovazione. Conto finale sproporzionato per quello che abbiamo mangiato. Adatto a gruppi numerosi ma non lo consiglierei.
