Eher zufällig sind wir auf dieses Restaurant gestoßen. Die Gegend ist wohltuend untouristisch, aber das hat ja gerade seinen Reiz. Das Essen war typisch mit den sizilianischen Spezialitäten. Und mit dem Chef kommt man gern ins Plaudern. Das gibt es nicht mehr so oft.

This restaurant was recommended by a local who is a chef working in London. It is not as fancy as those at the touristy areas in Palermo and hidden in a tiny street but! But! The food? Fantastico, deliciozo, Marvellous! Pricewise; incredible value for the quality of the food. Monday-wednesday - open for lunch only. Thursday - Saturday, dinner only. Very near Ballaro market. Must-visit when in Palermo, if you can find it😁

Una gran joya escondida de un restaurante justo fuera de la entrada del Palazzo Cante Federico! Nos topamos con este restaurante y fuimos recibidos por Anes, que nos convenció de sentarnos y tomar una cerveza. Tuvimos una gran conversación con él y decidimos parar al día siguiente para almorzar! Fue una gran decisión. Anes nos recordó y nos sirvió todas sus especialidades, incluyendo un plato de pasta de mariscos que era absolutamente increíble. ¡Podríamos volver a cenar!

05/08/2025: It's fallen downhill from five years ago. Probably due to a change of management. The portions are small, and the final bill has risen significantly. It's a shame. We've lost a point of reference for traditional Palermo cuisine to eat in the piazza...
04/08/2025: Excellent food with delicious appetizers and good service. The bacon and onion platter is a must-try. (Trust me, it's super good.) The cashier on August 3rd was a real downer. He was rude and completely unprofessional.

06/08/2025: Rustic place, friendly staff. The first course, second course, pizza, and platter were all very good, although I think they've raised the prices a bit compared to this winter.
05/08/2025: Sunday evening dinner with a reservation for four people, at 8:30 PM. We waited a little over an hour from ordering to the arrival of our dishes. We received more dishes than other tables. The dishes were very generous and of good quality, offering a good value. The atmosphere was quite calm despite the crowd. Overall, a good experience. I recommend booking early, both to avoid the usual rush of people arriving and to enjoy a more leisurely meal, given the generous portions.
