My first time here was a few years ago. I was passing through on my way to Bologna and decided to stop for lunch by the sea. It was a wonderful discovery. After about two years, I returned with some friends and we had an exceptional food and wine experience. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, with the freshest fish and seafood always present. In short, what you experience during a lunch or dinner with the on-board chef is unforgettable. Francesco is always very knowledgeable and can recommend the best wine or sparkling wine pairings, always supported by the great Angelo, the owner and an expert in raw seafood. An experience to repeat.

I have read the negative reviews written about the on-board chef restaurant. I have been frequenting it for many years and have always had a wonderfully good dinner, from the starter to the bill. I have never seen paper plates and waiters who don't know how to behave. On the contrary, I have seen competent staff. Perhaps these people who wrote these things thought, while writing, that they were in the restaurants that poor people frequent.

It enjoys a beautiful location on the Senigallia seafront, and given its fame, I think the interior is in need of a makeover. The freshest fish is expertly cooked, the raw fish is also plentiful and the platter is well-stocked, and the risotto is perfect. The wine selection is extensive and top-notch, and the service is attentive and welcoming. The prices are a bit high, but the restaurant has become a staple of good, quality local cuisine. The dessert selection is interesting, but unfortunately, seasonal fruit is largely absent... a cup of strawberries with cream would suffice. It's a shame that finding parking on a Saturday is a challenge.
