Al Country In Roma

Today, for Mother's Day, I had lunch at Country – Teano stop (Rome) with my mother. Being celiac, I was looking for a place in the area where I could eat in complete tranquility. The place is quiet and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed lunch. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and attentive to the needs of those following a gluten-free diet. We ate truly wonderfully: for starters, a mixed seafood platter accompanied by gluten-free focaccia, simply fabulous. For main courses, we chose the scampi cream risotto and the gnocchi with saffron, radicchio, and speck: both delicious, flavorful, and well-balanced. For dessert, a delicious amaretto panna cotta! A truly positive experience, both for the quality of the food and for the safety and attention to gluten-free products. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to eat well and in peace, even with special dietary needs.

My boyfriend and I went last Friday, and it was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was simple, welcoming, and familiar, the staff were incredibly sweet...all accompanied by great professionalism in explaining their history and how they prepare their food...we chose the pizza menu and will be back to try the first courses and everything else!

Al Country gave me the joy of eating amazing GLUTEN-FREE dishes, as if I weren't celiac. Even my non-intolerant friends, tasting my first or second courses (and even desserts and pizza!), were amazed at how "normal" dishes seemed without the usual stickiness or cooking difficulties we often encounter in our restaurants. Thanks Al Country! I'll be back often.

Dinner with friends who have been coming here for many years…..for me a very pleasant first experience….super comfortable atmosphere…very very varied menu from pizza to first and second courses…gluten free exceptional desserts…the owner is super!!!

Everything was fantastic! From the kindness of the staff to the excellent fish cooked with extreme passion by Chef Gigi Marinò. It's always the right choice for a great evening. The fried seafood, octopus, and potatoes are excellent, and the appetizers are delicious. The cheesecake was incredibly fresh (all prepared by the chef). Superb value!

A truly wonderful experience. Homemade gluten-free products, well-prepared and delicious. Very affordable prices and excellent, discreet service. There aren't many places like this worth going to. I'll be back very soon. Congratulations

Highly recommended. I went yesterday with my family for Christmas lunch, and everything was exquisite. I have celiac disease and a milk protein intolerance, so I was able to eat everything from appetizer to dessert, and the menu was identical to everyone else's. They even provided me with plant-based cheese, which is truly remarkable considering that many restaurants, when they learn of my intolerances, either completely overhaul their menu or claim they aren't equipped to accommodate it. The owners of this restaurant have proven that where there's a will, there's a way. A huge thank you to them and to all the staff, all incredibly kind. The dishes, as I mentioned, were truly delicious; the strudel at the end of the meal was out of this world, one of the best I've ever eaten. I repeat, the entire menu was gluten-free and dairy-free. I'll be a customer for life.

We happened upon it by chance and it couldn't have gone better... even though it was very early they were kind enough to let us in while they were still cleaning between the tables... but let's move on to the food... we couldn't help but order 2 fried appetizers made by them on the spot: battered artichokes and cod fillet... then a large and tasty pizza and for her a first course of fettuccine with calamari... lots of them and good... a water and a large bottle of beer and a slice of homemade Sant Honoré cake... courtesy, professionalism and a total bill for 2 of only €41... a perfect evening... we will definitely return
