Al cortile del gelso In Manerba del garda

Pranzo del sabato con amici del lago che ci hanno accompagnato in questo locale. Abbiamo condiviso il loro antipasto di verdurine e polenta fritta accompagnato dal loro pane e grissini. Successivamente due risotti e due tortelli alla zucca molto buoni. Eravamo di passaggio per cui niente dolce ma torneremo sicuramente per assaggiare i secondi di pesce e anche di carne volendo . Bravi ragazzi!

Very pleasant evening in this small restaurant, very friendly staff, cozy place. We participated in the "Risotti" evening, 5 tastings, strong but delicate flavours, top cooking. We had a dessert, which was also good. The menu is made up as follows: 5 types of risotto, water and cover charge €17.00, it's really worth it.

Very fresh raw materials, carefully prepared dishes, excellent service. Highly recommended!

Excellent food and the waitress was incredibly friendly and explained everything to us calmly. The store is also very homey, it feels like a big living room. If we are in the area again we will definitely come back!

Attratti dalle recensioni massimamente felici e positive, abbiamo tentato anche noi l'esperienza Al cortile del Gelso, così chiamato per l'imponente e vetusto Gelso prospiciente e a ridosso della statale. Il menu a discrezione della casa, varia di stagione in stagione, in linea con la volontà di inseguire i prodotti stagionali per poter offrire un servizio di qualità, venendo volutamente meno ad approcci più industriali. Personalmente, dopo fortissima indecisione sulla scelta, ho testato il Pescato del giorno (nello specifico, il salmerino) al forno con patate, apprezzandone la qualità e la preparazione davvero eccelse, ma non prima di aver degustato le varie proposte di pani e panificati della casa. Il dolce sperimentale del momento è stato il colpo di grazia del gusto: un semifreddo al lime con crema e sedano marinato nella tequila, di cui serberò nella memoria l'azzeccatissimo quanto peculiare abbinamento degli ingredienti. Insomma l'esperienza è risultata davvero soddisfacente, anche per i prezzi tutto sommato modici, l'ambiente curato e il personale preparato e gentile. Ottima atmosfera. Peccato soltanto per il posteggio limitato all'aperto, ma come sempre occor fare di necessità virtù.

The place is very nice with some seats inside and some outside. The staff was very kind and the dishes each more delicious than the other. The portions are perfect to be able to taste something more. I must say even the water and coffee are exceptional

Had a fantastic fish dinner. They are one of the few spots offering local fish wild caught from lake Garda. We had an entree of smoked Salmerino and it was amazing. After that Luccio in olio di cottura with polenta 😘 And then grilled Salmerino. A wonderful combination of simple yet fulfilling Italian flavours. Dessert a delicious fig cake and an authentic homemade Limoncino made with actual lemons and not the commercial fluorescent stuff you see elsewhere.

Restaurant recommended to us by our bnb which was on the same street. The courtyard offers a nice atmosphere and the service of the staff is absolutely kind and genuine. We were very dissatisfied with the portions, although good they are truly ridiculous for dishes that are still very expensive.
