I really enjoyed the beef tartare; the well-balanced smoked caramelized onion gave it a unique yet unobtrusive flavor.
The Artusi 87 was nothing special, lacking in flavor, and the basil sauce didn't quite hit my taste. The lasagna looked beautiful, but it was thinly stuffed with ragù and flavorless béchamel. The cheek was perfect, and I really enjoyed the Jerusalem artichoke reduction. The Bolognese cutlet was decent, and the tortellini were good. Many dishes aren't worth the price; the traditional Bolognese cuisine is good, but generally you can find better and cheaper elsewhere. The service was very professional, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Good wine selection, but parking wasn't easy.

A small, well-maintained restaurant with a level of customer service that makes you feel pampered. Exquisite traditional Bolognese dishes: the seven-layer lasagna is worth the trip just for the look, and the taste is simply fantastic.
I can't wait to go back!

A definite must! It's been years since I've been to this enchanting place, and it continues to be one of the best restaurants I've ever visited. The staff is friendly and attentive to their needs. The lasagna and the double meat broth with tortellini are a MUST!

This place is quite the trek away, highly recommend taking the bus there. Since we're dolts from NYC we decided to walk there from the center of Bologna, it took a really long time. If you get there too early there isn't much around in the neighborhood so try to time it!
The lasagna is as good as they say.
