An institution in the wine world and beyond. Standing room only to savor Venetian cicchetti, with some more contemporary twists. The simplicity of the cold cuts sandwich is disarming, with porchetta being my favorite. All quality! Prices aren't excessive, but they're in line with the quality of the ingredients.
A few more smiles wouldn't hurt.

For €1.60 each tapa and a huge variety of wines, you can enjoy a multitude of flavors. I highly recommend it. The place is large, pleasant, and quiet. Unlike downtown Venice, where each tapa costs €3.50.
I would definitely go back!

Stumbled across this place while hunting for cicchetti nearby and so glad we did. Very well priced, great range and great location. The chaos of ordering with people yelling in Italian was part of the fun.

An excellent Venetian bacaro, small but offering a wide selection of cicchetti and a wide selection of wines. You can eat standing inside or outside, leaning against the canal bank. The cicchetti are excellent: creamed cod, gorgonzola and pear, octopus, and the ever-present sarda in saor. All washed down with a classic Venetian spritz.

Delicious fish sandwiches, I fell in love🤤. There are very big choice of sandwiches - not only with fish. Prices are really good (1.6 eur for sandwich (24.09.25). Staff are pleasant and helpful, they know English. I'm glad that I found this place. Venice is outstanding!

Wine, Cicchetti, and Atmosphere to Savour - Right on the canal, this spot serves a great range of excellent-value wines by the glass. The cicchetti were a fantastic bonus for us (see photos): tuna with horseradish, lardo with honey and chocolate, smoked salmon with mascarpone. My late mother would have loved it here — sipping her wine, soaking up the atmosphere, and quietly working out the relationships of the folks around her. They are also clear about what is not on offer.
