On a Veneto highway, right where the world seems to pass by without stopping, lies Osteria Al Baston in Ponzano. It's a simple place, almost spartan, but for that very reason, authentic. No frills, no fuss: just honest, local dishes, made with seasonal, home-grown ingredients. The radicchio with lard is one of those things that makes you smile inside: bitter and soft, perfectly blended, as if the Veneto region had decided to express itself in a single bite. The atmosphere is warm, familiar, like a meeting place: perhaps you drop in by chance, for a quick lunch or a glass of local wine, and you'll happily end up staying, chatting slowly. Amidst all the rush, time slows down here, and that's a good thing. It's the kind of osteria that makes you think: well, it's still possible to find places like this. Also recommended for simple business lunches.

A typical restaurant, fantastic for a couple of cicchetti and a good glass of wine at any time of day, but also for parties or special occasions. Excellent local cuisine. You'll find cicchetti in a wide variety of flavors, all delicious; try them all. Very friendly staff.
