Al Barilotto Del Nonno In

While we did not stay at Al Barilotto, Giovanni treated us like family. We were staying a villa next door to Al Barilotto when our car scheduled to take us to Pompeii for the morning never showed up. We went to grab some breakfast next door and were greeted like close family. We ate some of the most delicious food while soaking in one of the best views on the Amalfi coast. Giovanni saw to every detail and spent time speaking with us about his hotel, family and the surrounding area. He then proceeded to connect us with a car service that not only showed up but arranged a private tour of Pompeii with an excellent guide on our ride back to Naples prior to our departure.Giovanni's warmth and hospitality was unmatched. I already know where I will be staying on my next trip to Positano!!

We just had 5 nights here and it was truly amazing. The family that own and run the hotel treat you as if you are their own and couldn'thave been more welcoming or friendly. The view from our room (3) was stunning, waking up to blue skies and the sea every day was so perfect. They offer rides into and back from town which is very good. They also have a roof terrace with sun loungers, shower etc. Again with amazing views. Breakfast is also great. Couldnt fault it, would love to return

STAY HERE! I can’t rave enough about the wonderful time I had here. The family made me feel like family, especially Giovanni and Rachele. We shared stories during breakfast - the food is fantastic!!! They give you a large fruit bowl that’s really fresh. They also give you great eggs, yogurt, cappucinos and more. The hotel itself was started by 5 siblings and they all work really hard for their guests. There is also a married couple that work here - alessandro and his wife who go above and beyond. Even packed our breakfast for us! I really appreciate everyone’s hospitality and absolutely will return + suggest this accommodation to family and friends. Other phenomenal points include the views - we hung out on the roof top terrace and it was one of our favorite parts of the trip with the ocean view. Each room gets a view too with a patio and it feels light and airy. It’s not directly in the center of positano but I think that’s better so you’re not surrounded by all the noise. It’s very close though (5 min) and positioned perfectly on the coast. Don’t hesitate on booking fue to location since there’s always shuttles and the walk is also pleasant. Exceptional and incredibly romantic hotel. We spent 2 wonderful nights there as a couple. The rooms are splendid with a terrace and breathtaking views of the sea. Family-run establishment, the owner, Giovanni, takes great care of you and gives valuable advice for outings. The breakfast is fabulous. We will return with great pleasure.

Absolutely charming family owned boutique accommodations with stunning views. The owners treated us like family and the views and location were to die for. Wish we stayed longer and we will definitely return!
