I had the tortelli filled with ricotta and orange with ginger foam and shrimp. I didn’t taste any orange or any ginger, but it was CRAZY GOOD. They made tortelli with an opening at the top for sauce. So delicious!

Excellent dishes, we had a starter, a first course and a dessert accompanied by a white wine from Elba
Their bread, the flatbread and the breadsticks they produce are excellent and can be tasted as a tribute to them

This restaurant is sometimes avoided by both locals and tourists due to its somewhat pretentious appearance and high costs.
The reality is that you eat delicious and highly refined dishes, with attentive and friendly service (nothing to be taken for granted in the area:) and a cost that is more than fair compared to the quality (and in reality not much more than any other restaurant in the area Starters €20, First courses €20, Second courses €25).
My favorite dish was the spaghetti with black garlic and sea urchin pulp with scallop carpaccio. But everything is excellent, from the bread and focaccias to the desserts - all strictly "homemade".
I have been coming to Piombino for years appreciating everything from Bar La Sirena to Garibaldi Innamorato: Al Baccanale was a great discovery, which I will have to try again soon.

We had a wonderful lunch here while in Tuscany. The amuse-bouche was fantastic! Three little bites of different flavors to whet your appetite. The starter was chestnut farinata with red shrimp which we split with no problem & the chestnuts added a little complexity to the taste. The lemon linguini with oysters & raspberry was my favorite! Then the monkfish medallion was wonderful. Highly recommend & our server was so kind even though we didn't speak much Italian. He even let us buy a bottle of the olive oil which was wonderful with the rustica bread. The tables are artwork & shown in the picture!
