The food is great but take it literally, if it says sparrow it means ‘sparrow’. Tell them if you want it split into courses or to come altogether. It’s very Neapolitan, good fun if a little Spartan

We had dinner two nights ago. Excellent food, served by friendly and attentive staff. The waitress, Tania, was very attentive and professional. Recommended restaurant.

Al 53 is a guarantee in Piazza Dante: authentic Neapolitan cuisine, tasty dishes made with fresh ingredients, and friendly staff. Excellent value. Angelo, the owner, is a lovely and engaging person. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is right in Piazza Dante; facing the monument, it's on the far right. At first glance, it looks like a tourist spot, but the cuisine is high-quality, and the restaurateur is a true Neapolitan who pays attention to culinary details and has made significant investments in the kitchen. The fish portions are generous and flavorful. We ordered the seafood frisella, and they brought us a generous plate with very good, well-cooked octopus. We continued with the cod and fried prawns. I expected the latter to be shelled and breaded, but they were just cooked in their shells in frying oil. They didn't have a large selection of desserts, just lemon cake and lemon delight. Two appetizers, two main courses, half a liter of house wine, a dessert, and a coffee, €80. A good choice.

Genoese superlative almost illegal

Angelo, the owner, is extremely kind. The food is excellent and the wait time is short. The prices are more than fair. I've become a regular customer. It's an experience I highly recommend.

Siamo stati al 53 tre giorni fa , antipasti caldi e freddi molto buoni , spaghetti con le cozze e frutti di mare mai mangiato così buoni . Ma a condire gli ottimi piatti la cortesia del proprietario che segue ogni cosa con cura e la professionalità la gentilezza e ka simpatia del personale di sala . Lo consiglio felicemente.

Nella storica piazza Dante, complice il sole e l’azzurro del cielo, abbiamo pranzato divinamente. La qualità delle materie prime, il gusto dei piatti e la simpatia di Angelo (il proprietario) hanno reso tutto piacevolissimo. Consigliatissimo!!!
