We had lunch at Al 53 and it was an excellent experience. The tradition of Neapolitan cuisine, from appetizers to desserts, executed in an exceptional manner. The service is impeccable and the location perfect near the subway and in the heart of Piazza Dante.

We went there because it was recommended and we were intrigued. Unfortunately, both from a culinary and ambience point of view we were disappointed. Maybe we had too many expectations? The food is of good quality but the flavors did not impress us pleasantly. Prices are average, not excessive.

The place presents itself in a very characteristic way. The typical food of Neapolitan cuisine is presented in a very elaborate way with sophisticated tastes representing Neapolitan cuisine at its best. The service is among the best in all of Naples, very friendly, warm and welcoming staff. You feel at home

Excellent restaurant with tasty food from times gone by, excellent and friendly ownership and service in the heart of Naples. This last factor obviously has a downside as it is in a pedestrian area and with difficulty finding free parking in the area (there are paid car parks nearby but like all the historic centers of large cities the hourly prices are high if not very high). On the other hand, it is strategically located for those who want to visit the city on foot or get around with public services well connected to the place. On the contrary, it is not suitable for those who are used to driving to the restaurant.

We discovered this restaurant thanks to the advice of Chiara, whom we met on the train to Naples. Simple and tasty dishes of the Neapolitan tradition, attentive and familiar service, more than fair for what we ate. Super Vesuvian linguine, meatballs with sauce like grandma's (the sauce was so thick you could pick it up with a fork), dry and crunchy fried calamari. We will definitely recommend it to our friends who come to Naples!

Posto fantastico, ci vado sempre quando visito Napoli. Personale professionale e gentile, cibo tradizionale napoletano veramente eccezionale con porzioni super, prezzi al top. Non si puó trovare di meglio.

Ambiente fantastico, servizio eccellente, cucina strepitosa: i piatti della vera tradizione e le vere eccellenze del territorio campano, 10 e lode! Consiglio le linguine (o spaghetti) alla Vesuvio e la Genovese. Per uno "zuccullillo" come me (😉) l'atmosfera era perfetta! Ideale per cene tra amici!
