The quality of the dishes is beyond dispute, but we paid a very high price of €36 per person. And frankly, we don't understand how they arrived at that price... There were three of us, with three first courses, only two second courses, and dessert with only water, which was frankly too expensive. A serious flaw was the lack of a menu, which is required by law. You don't know which dishes are listed or how much they cost. I won't be returning.

A charming and charming trattoria, just outside the city walls, serving traditional Ferrara cuisine. The menu features local tradition, the place is welcoming, with tables spaced reasonably far apart, and the staff is very friendly. The menu is read aloud, a choice I personally don't appreciate, but it's acceptable. The quality of the dishes (even those glimpsed by neighbors) is good, almost excellent. I highly recommend the pumpkin flan among the appetizers. The rest of the menu is truly unique.

Dinner for four, we ordered six courses. Everything was delicious and we had no digestive issues. The atmosphere was very welcoming. Highly recommended.

A typical Ferrarese trattoria, you can enjoy everything from cappellacci with pumpkin to pasticcio ferrarese and tagliatelle as first courses.
Second courses include traditional salamina with mashed potatoes, boiled meats with cotechino, salamina with beef tongue and head, and sauces.
Desserts include tenerina zuppa inglese.
The food is worth it, and the bill is reasonable.
If you choose a first course, a second course, and it'll set you back €35.
If you're passing through Ferrara, definitely try it, but call first to reserve.

Dinner consisted of an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert (coffee and/or digestif not included).
I paid precisely €34 for the pumpkin appetizer (shared with another person), the polenta and stew main course, and a cheesecake with rubiola for dessert.
I found the appetizer a bit lacking for the price I ended up paying, but the main course was very generous with very tender meat, and the dessert was delicious.
Considering that only a bottle of water was ordered, coffee was not included, and no wine was ordered, I found €34 a bit high.

Cena tipica ferrarese in uno dei locali storici di Ferrara. Cibi ottimi, staff gentile e professionale. In sala si sudava, avrei preferito l'accensione del clima. Consiglio a chi viene a Ferrara in visita di provare questo locale.
