Typical trattoria, with a simple atmosphere, which offers traditional dishes. The service is fast, but a bit anonymous. Compared to the atmosphere, the price seemed a little expensive, but the dishes were plentiful: for two first courses, two second courses, two desserts, 3/4 of house wine, water and coffee €91

It is a typical simple and sober trattoria with many rooms, the cuisine is typical of Ferrara and traditional, the menu is spoken by the waiter. The service is fast and the staff is kind. We had as a first course the pasticcio di maccheroni and casarecce with mutton ragù: generous portions. As a second course the mixed bollini and the excellent and abundant beef fillet with porcini mushrooms. The portions are abundant, but we were tempted by the zuppa inglese which is truly remarkable. The house wine is good, a very respectable Sangiovese. The price is in line with what we ate (€95 for two). We will return.

Locale con cucina tipica della zona , molto rustico e con pochi formalismi , adatto a chi vuole un buon pasto. Il personale è rapido, cortese ed efficiente. Abbiamo ordinato ravioli ed un pasticcio tipico ferrarese; patate al forno e tenerina.

20/07/2025: An intimate and secluded restaurant with a rustic style, located downtown near the courthouse. We tried two appetizers: goose breast and scamorza salad with speck and pear mousse, and two first courses: tagliatelle with rabbit ragù and pumpkin cappellacci with citrus fruits. All the dishes were truly excellent and beautifully presented, with just the right balance of flavors. The meal begins with the "coppia Ferrarese" (a traditional Ferrarese pasta dish), which is also excellent, which is not a given. The service was attentive, and the dishes were served in a reasonable time. Perhaps the only flaw was the restrooms, which were shared between men and women (which is never a good thing) and were truly spartan! For example, the toilet seat was missing.
