Good food with generous portions, excellent service, and a simple yet welcoming location. Personally, I prefer a printed menu, but having someone describe the dishes adds a touch of exclusivity.

A traditional osteria in a simple, elegant setting. Excellent, plentiful food. Excellent cappellacci (cappuccinos) and superb desserts, such as zuppa inglese and chocolate salami. Prompt and attentive service, with the menu announced verbally. Worth a visit.

Wonderful. Courteous and fast, the menu is announced verbally (which I really like), the first courses are made with handmade pasta, and the portions are generous. The second courses and desserts are equally as good. The prices are fair considering the quantity and quality. Every time we return, they are consistently among the best. Bravo!

I'd say it's a historic trattoria. The atmosphere is very basic, but welcoming. The waiters and staff were courteous and kind. Excellent food! The fillet with porcini mushrooms and potatoes was delicious: very tender, well cooked, and the porcini mushrooms and roasted potatoes were perfectly consistent. Fantastic chocolate tenderloin!

Pizzeria Le Fate

06/02/2026: I've been in Ferrara for a few months for study reasons, and I happened to try the pizza here because I often passed by it since it's close to home. It immediately struck me as a well-maintained and clean takeout pizzeria, so I decided to give it a try. It's been a regular stop ever since! The pizza is delicious and light, with fresh, delicious ingredients. I've tried several different ones, and I've been very satisfied with all of them. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and even when they have a lot of orders, they do their best to serve their customers. It's a takeout pizzeria that also offers tables where customers can enjoy the pizza while it's still steaming hot, straight from the oven! A great feature to highlight is the great discount they offer for students, which includes a free drink from the selection. Highly recommended!
