I went for lunch yesterday, having found it by chance after a web search on my way back from Bologna. We ate wonderfully! The gnocco fritto and tigelle were delicious, along with a platter of excellent cured meats! The lard was spectacular. Fresh pasta dishes were the first course; I had the Lambrusco-infused cappelletti, delicious! The coffee was especially special, as you can choose from a variety of Arabica blends to suit your tastes; I really appreciated that. The atmosphere is modest but clean. The staff is courteous and friendly! Thank you.

On the outskirts of Reggio Emilia, a small restaurant is hidden inside the ARCI club, serving delicious traditional Emilian dishes. We especially enjoyed the tortelli in some of their dishes: with braised meat 🌟🌟🌟, also delicious with asparagus, mushrooms, and nettles, not to mention the small delicacies offered as appetizers: tigelle (with lard and amazing herbs 🔝), fried erbazzone... We had the traditional chizze, tortelli, and lambrusco, typical of Reggio Emilia. I was craving stuffed foods, so I stopped by on my way to Canossa Castle, and it was absolutely delicious. There were so many varieties, and since I can't read Italian, I struggled with a translation app, but the waiter patiently explained everything to me. We ordered three types each for two people, for a total of six, and shared them all. Everything was delicious and we were very satisfied. I especially recommend the Ubriachi and Verdi. For chizze, I chose Parmesan, which was excellent. For dessert, I ordered the semifreddo that the person next to me was having, even though I'm not sure it was on the menu, and it was also very good. We thoroughly enjoyed the friendly waiter, delicious food, and great wine. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. I didn't realize that Reggiano, the Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese popular in Japan, comes from this region. I'm so grateful for this encounter!

Finally, a place for true Reggio Emilia locals. Cuisine that takes you back to grandma's days when she cooked with love and simplicity. The kindness of the staff makes you feel at ease and smiles (an increasingly rare thing)! The creative use of wooden clothespins to indicate the filling of the tortelli, an idea I thought was fantastic. In short, a bit of a journey back in time when you could have had a GREAT time for much less. Thanks, I'll be back. P.S. The prices are more than fair!

A place where the tortelli are divine and where I will go soon to try new dishes

I found the place by looking on Google Maps because I needed a place for dinner while passing through Reggio, and I decided to book here. Four of us went for dinner: cured meats, fried gnocco, tortelli, and dessert... everything was excellent, the quality of the ingredients was very good. The tortelli were excellent and filled in various ways. The idea of ​​the trios and fours of tortelli to try different fillings was great! The place is small, so book ahead. It's a bar with plenty of space and tables for a very home-style meal, just the way I like it. The owner is very kind and friendly, and will even help you choose if you're unsure! The tortelli are topped with butter and parmesan to enhance the flavors of the fillings, so no sauces on top. For four of us, we spent €37 each and left feeling very full! If we're ever in the area again, I'll definitely eat there again!
