Agriturismo Valdifiori In Sassoferrato

We stayed at Hans and Massimo’s Agriturismo Valdifiori and really enjoyed our time. With their passion for good food, animals and nature, they created a true la dolce vita experience in the middle of nature. After just a one hour drive from Perugia airport you will enjoy amazing views, a nice swimming pool for cooling down and full-taste freshly prepared Italian dishes by Massimo. Hans loves to show you around on the Agriturismo so you can learn a lot about the animals on and around the farm. In the area you can explore nature, ancient towns like Assisi and Perugia. The caves of Sassoferrato are a must-see! We would highly recommend to book your stay!

Io e mia moglie siamo appena rientrati dopo aver alloggiato SOLO 2 notti in questo magnifico posto. Potrei stare a scrivere tante cose ma mi limito solo nel dire che presto ritorneremo e che sarà tappa fissa almeno 1 o 2 volte l’anno perché il posto oltre ad essere bellissimo è gestito da 2 persone (Massimo e Hans) davvero fantastiche. Siamo arrivati che non li conoscevamo e dopo 2 giorni,siamo andati via che sembrava di conoscerli da tantissimo tempo,accoglienza davvero SUPER…!!! Sala dove servono la colazione e la cena un posto davvero raffinato e curato nei minimi dettagli …e piatti che erano da fare invidia a ristoranti stellati. Cos’altro dire,ci è dispiaciuto andare via e presto ritorneremo per goderci la pace è il benessere che offre l’agriturismo Valdifiori.

Absolutely one of the most unique experiences we had in Italy! First of all Hans and Massimo are excellent hosts and very communicative. Together they speak 5 languages. The room was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. Although it was hot outside the temperature inside was much cooler. The farm has more than 20 cows, goats, chickens and a cat. Hans showed us the entire farm, stables and gave all kind of information about “how it works”. Very interesting! In the evening we enjoyed the 4 course dinner that’s served every evening. Thank you Massimo for all the amazing food!! The farm is situated in a nature reserve so it’s easy to hike 10km+ from the Agriturismo. Within driving distance the town of Sassoferrato is worth a visit. For hiking and cycling (gravel/mtb) the nearby park Monte Cucco is not far. We will definitely come back to Valdifiori!!

Wonderful place and lovely owners. The farmhouse is located on an elevated position in the middle of nature, where the last stretch of road is dirt road. The bedrooms are located on the lower floor separate from the kitchen. The swimming pool is in a splendid position facing the mountains and with the possibility of seeing the villages below. The sunset is gorgeous and allows you to completely relax. The structure offers breakfast with '0 meter' products as they are produced by the livestock present, as well as a fixed menu dinner (€35) including starter, first course, second course and dessert (wine not included). The quality of the dinner prepared by Massimo is truly excellent and the portions are generous. Excellent value for money. A truly recommended place to return to

Wonderful place, it has officially become our favorite place.❤️ A well-kept farmhouse where you can breathe the peace and calm that the managers Massimo and Hans also know how to convey. The only noise you can hear is the sound of the cicadas, magnificent swimming pool with a view and Massimo's cuisine is really excellent! Breakfast with milk and yogurt made from their cows and the egg served still warm in the morning is a treat that we will dream of for future breakfasts! Excellent dinners from starters to desserts, we eat at 8.30pm and finish at 10.30pm so for those with children, organize yourself with games! But Matilde, despite the timing, ate everything we ate and with gusto! What can I say, we hope to return as soon as possible! Pay attention to the road to get there and maybe use horsefly repellent! 😉

Beautifully located, on top of a hill. View is incredibly beautiful. Beds are good, food is delicious and the managers are lovely people who are always there for you. The road to it is not paved, but no problem. And while you're here, definitely eat!
