Tasted an exquisite lunch from the appetizer served with cold cuts and cheeses from the area surrounded by home-grown vegetables, to two first courses full of taste and flavors of the past, moving on to an exquisite second course of meat, concluding with a dessert with a thousand aromas all washed down from a full-bodied DOC red wine of its own production which reminded me of the wine my grandfather made which left the red color of the vine in the glass......to be returned a thousand more times. We had lunch and spent a pleasant Sunday in this structure which was born in an 1700s farmhouse renovated specifically. The restaurant offers local cuisine well prepared by the chef. The Sunday menu consists of appetizers, first course, second course and fruit, with drinks at a cost of 35 euros per person. Too bad that the dessert is separate at a cost of 6 euros, for the rest I recommend you try it.

after hearing good things about it, we came to try the cuisine also to book the end of year dinner. We were very satisfied with the various menus offered. We opted for a 30 euro tasting menu which included a selection of cold and hot appetizers, among which some fabulous local cured meats stood out, a souffle with cardocelli mushrooms on pumpkin cream and a bruschetta with broad bean and chicory cream. The first course, abundant, troccoli, sausage and mushrooms anticipated a mixed roast of excellent quality. To conclude, a dessert with Chantilly cream and berries. To all this is added wine, water, coffee and bitters included in the price and a lot of kindness and helpfulness from the chef and staff. Definitely worth returning

We ate quite badly, the products are actually of good quality, but very poorly prepared by the kitchen, not to mention the service in the room, very approximate... In the room there were 4 tables, maybe five and there wasn't a only table that didn't complain about something wrong...not to return

Nice place, clean, polite and helpful staff..the food is very good..a few more waiters wouldn't hurt...anyway, the whole location is very beautiful.

La Villa dei Gourmets

21/03/2024: The location is in the quiet neighborhood at the southern entrance to Foggia. It is a hotel at the end of a street, very quiet. The rooms, at least mine, had a very 70s style, with colors of the blankets and upholstery that are no longer used and the dark walnut wood of the chairs and wardrobe which, yes, denotes class, but also age. The restaurant, on the other hand, creates abundant and varied evening dishes, the chef is certainly of a high standard, he knows how to satisfy the palate. The bar counter, on the left in the hall, leaves something to be desired in terms of morning brightness. The elevator, in contrast, is very modern. It wouldn't be bad to review the styles a bit, make them uniform and consistent with the spirit of the place, which is certainly historical.

16/03/2024: I found myself passing by on a motorbike tour. I really appreciated the quality of the croissant and I believe that the rest of the pastry shop cannot be any less. But what motivated me most to leave a review was the kindness of the owner. If I have the chance to return to Ordona to visit the archaeological site, I will definitely come back to taste other delicacies!
